If it wont work since the change over to digital,
it cannot search because of the signal difference.

I have the Universal Guide plus Gemstar remote and antenna TV (LG) I need the codes for this. How do I get them?

Set-up (Programming) procedure is too much to type in here, and is not practical and it will differ brand-to-brand remote controls. If you wish to get more; check the sites linked here. The site has set-up code list & set-up procedure to many popular brand remote controls. The site has general set-up codes to check with TVs and other devices are given, in the order of the 'device's brand name list' in alphabetical order. Set-up code list to many brand remote controls also is given. Pull up older posts. Search the sites by type in the brand name to your device in its search box at the top right part of the display window. It will help you to find the document easily.

Programming Notes
• If your device does not respond to the remote after trying all codes listed or your brand is not listed in the code list, use the Auto Code Search method to program your remote.
Sometimes the first code that "works" with your device may operate only a few functions of your device. There may be another code in the code list that performs more functions. Try other codes from the code list for more functionality.
This is a trial and error procedure; and quiet time consuming. You might have to check different codes said for your device./

I want to re-program a GE Universal Remote (with Guide Plus). Lost the manual. Also do not have a "code search" or "set-up" button on remote. What do I do?

Guide Plus not working

Guide Plus on TV is most likely a cable TV feature. If so, it would not be available from a broadcast antenna. Try checking the web sites for the TV stations you watch; most likely any stations with web sites would provide their schedules there.

RCA TV with Guide Plus that no longer receives guide at night

Please clarify what you are getting. Is the Guide Plus coming up with no programs listed? If so, it may be that you lost power and the set has to be turned off overnight to "reload" the program schedule. If that is not the problem, have you recently changed to digital through a digital receiver? You need to have your analog antenna connected to receive the program listings. You may have to install a splitter to have both the digital antenna and the analog antenna connected. I have an RCA with Guide Plus and ran into the same problem, but solved it by reconnecting my analog antenna and leaving the set off overnight to reload.

Guide plus on my rca p52937 tv

You are right, the Guide Plus is transmitted to your tv over the air. If you have a cable company supplying your programs, your Guide Plus will not receive a signal to set up. You will need to get a two-way splitter. It has two connections on one side and one on the other. The side that has one connection goes to your tv. The side that has two connections will connect to your cable supplier and the other to a rabbit ear or outside antenna. Then the tv has to be off over night to restore your Guide Plus.

Rca tv my guide plus has quit working

The guide plus needs to reset itself over night. But as long as you are only connected to cable it will not allow for it to reset. You need a two way splitter the cable company signal will go in one side and the outside antenna or what ever you were connected to before cable will go on the other connector. The single side connector will go to the tv. Where the splitter says 'in' you will actually be using it as out to the tv. Where the splitter says 'out' you will be using as in for the cable and the other antenna. Guide Plus is built into your tv and needs the tv to be off to reset over night.

Mine stopped mid-
December. I used the old reliable 99999 as my zip code, turned off the tv for an hour, turned it back on, entered my correct zip code and was patient. Today, the 15th of January, it popped back up. I have a feeling that it is all due to the switch over. I think different cable companies are setting things up and the gude was lost during that time. Maybe if you are patient, it will pop back up also.

RCA MM61110 Television

I had the same problem sometimes when my Gold Plus would reset itself and include all the channels but only those Over-The-Air channels. The only way I could change the programming was to completely shut down the power. Not just turning the tv off but completely unplugging it from the wall outlet. When you turn your tv back on you'll be able to choose from Antenna/Cable option. As for Guide,if you don't want to use it, don't set it up, it won't effect anything else on the television.
