Lgl40g straight talk phone will turn on but only loads up to the tracfone blue screen and will not operate at all once it's at that point. Won't power off basically useless completely

How to perform a Hard Reset (Factory Reset):
1. Turn the power off.
2. When the phone is switched off, press and
hold the Volume down key + Home key
with your left hand. Then press the Power
key while pressing Volume down key +
Home key.
3. LG logo would be displayed in 1~2
seconds then the phone would re-boot
showing android robot animation. Finally
the factory reset would be processed.
