Does not matter which cycle. The dryer will run with clothes for 3-4 min. It does heat up. Then the dryer stops. If you wait about 30 min. it will start again. I have tested all thermostats and they test good with a meter. I have replaced the high limit just in case. Blower blows and there is no blockage anywhere. All vents are clear and clean.

Remove 1 wire from the element . Your 220 V comes from ...110 motor , 110 control board . Check which wire is not getting 110 V , trace it and see which it comes from . That will tell you which one is defective .

in this case we put the lower temp thermostat in the oven at 170 degrees till it was hot and measured with ohm meter and it was open. After it cooled down some it went back to being a short. Now with this part in the dryer and the new high temp thermostat
and it blew shortly after being turned on. A possiblity is that there is a short by passing the 150 degree thermostat and the element keeps being on and causes the 350 degree thermostate to blow.

These,
of course, are not everything that can go wrong with your dryer, but
only the most common problems. When removing parts for replacement, I
find keeping a notebook nearby to take notes on which wire goes where,
to be a valuable assistant. Of course, when you take your faulty part
to the appliance parts shop, make sure to have the make and model
number for your dryer, just in case they need it. With that said, good
luck and hopefully your dryer will be sound for a few more years.
