Please help as this house hold has a high number of hdmi products.
You need an hdmi switch (Either discrete IR or RS232 addressable for control) with more inputs than what you need now for future devices. It should have a digital or sub hdmi audio out. This output will go to a receiver input. Your receiver is now basically a sound bar, since only one input is being used.

Instead of replacing you can try and clean it. There are a lot of good contact cleaners out there.
SOURCE: Problem with Rotel RA 870
Since it is a Rotel, it is a good unit and worth fixing. At this point, you need to take it to a good repair shop and let a qualified tech look at it. There are no user serviceable parts inside and if you go poking around in there, you WILL make the problem worse. Rotels' are nice units and represent a good value in stereo gear. Take it to a reputable repair shop that repairs Rotel under warranty. If thats not available to you, then a good repair shop should be able to get you going. Good luck...Rob

some amps have a switch to bridge them rather than wiring a bridge meaning output is mono check to see if yours has this switch if you do simply put back to stereo

I don't believe that Rotel service manuals are available outside of authorized service centers. Can you provide us with the problem that you have? Perhaps we can guide you through the repair.
Thanks,
Dan
