Why does the top rack of my GE Triton dishwasher only pull out halfway?

The top rack does not pull out all the way. It appears to have a stopper placed in the wrong location. Can it be changed?

SOURCE: GE triton dishwasher middle spin arm not spinning

I had the same problem and found two things which were causing it
-The O-ring was missing off of the tube connection on the back of the dryer that inserts into the sprayer tube. I found a size 11 O-Ring at Home Depot and it worked
-The openings on the underside of the spray arm are what propels the sprayer to spin. I found small pieces of plastic debris in the openings and cleaned them out.

Now the middle arm spins like it should.

SOURCE: GE Triton not working

Jitterbugclu-
I may have the solution. Husband just turned off power to dishwasher via circuit breaker. Waited around 30 minutes.
Restored power and Triton came back with normal lights.
I just ran a cycle and all was well. Hope this helps you.
My fingers are crossed because I don't know what happened but did read on another site that this should be the first thing you try before expen$ive repairman.
Reply back if it works!

SOURCE: GE Triton XL Dishwasher not cleaning glasses

Check to see if the spinner holes are clogged with food..or debris...this is what makes the sprayer arms move....water pressure...which is pumped up through the sprayer arms .......I s the pump working...if so....then you may also have some blockage at the base of the pump where the screen is that keeps impurities out of the pump....check to see that food or debris is not obstructing this.

I hope this help....have a good day and good luck...please rate my effort...the Fang

SOURCE: GE dsd 6700 top rack glider wheels not turning,

remove the tray and look at the wheels to be sure they are completely attached to the tray itself. If they are spray them with PAM or another cooking spray product to lubricate them.

How to replacement the upper dish rack on Kenmore dishwasher

On the front end of the rails, there should be plastic or rubber stoppers. Remove these and the rack should roll right off as if youre pulling it out to load it.

My GE triton dishwasher has water standing in the

The GE GSD5500 has a check valve in the rear of the unit under the FILTER FRAME that screws in. GE part WD24X10018.
The white rubber stopper wears out and lets water return to the tub!
Remove filter frame (4 screws) and unscrew the check valve to replace. Try appliancepartspros.com for part # AP2617344.

GE Profile dishwasher makes a humming noise

I had the same problem. The issue is due to the top rack water inlet not properly seating against the water line in the rear of the washer. I fixed it by placing heavier items (bowls, glass cups) on the rear of the rack and lighter items (plastic cups) near the front of the rack. As long as I arrange items on the top rack in this way the washer runs silently.

Makes a funny noise

I had the same problem with my Triton XL Model # - GSD6660G02SS Dishwasher. I tried adding water, zip tied each wash arm (one at a time) and had no positive result. Then I noticed a notch on what is called the docking cone. It supplies water to the middle wash arm. When the upper rack is pulled out you can see the cone at the back of the washer. Anyway I put a rubber O ring on this notch and the noise stopped. I can't tell from the parts list if the O ring is supposed to be there or not. Maybe a GE repair tech can confirm this. Hope it works for you as it did for me.
