Most of the time the bios password can be reset by simply pulling the CMOS battery out of the motherboard. The CMOS battery is the little watch battery the resides on the motherboard.

Beings that its a laptop, it may be harder to get to it. Try looking in the manual on how to get to the battery, this should provide all the information you need. If you need more help please reply and i will do my best to help.

Removing battery acer timeline

Depends on the laptop model, some of them have a lock that you have to press, some have multiple switches.
There is two small switches on the bottom, opposite sides of the battery. One you have to toggle and the other just hold while remove the battery.(But it depends on the model...)

Acer Aspire 5820T Pc Notebook - Its not detecting the usb drivers. No usb ports work and neither does the Web Cam. Showing as Unknown Device under the usb devices.

I would guess the drivers are either not installed, or the wrong ones are installed. Go to the Acer website and select your model and download the current drivers from there and install.

Then your motherboard is problem, so take the motherboard to refix.
Note: Pin board can be refix (work on), while pinless board cannot not be repair.
