You will need to open up both dvd case and dvd player! the rubber type band that turns the wheels to open tray is bad, not tight enough to turn wheels! By opening what do you mean? Is it Tray or File? If Tray is not opening, Turn your Computer off, then insert a needle or a pin in the hole just beneath Tray and push the needle in slowly, after a few attempts, your Tray will open. But don't force, if you don't find yourself comfortable doing so, better call authorized service professional.

If it's about not opening Folder or File, there may be several reasons like dirty surface of CD/DVD, Corrupt File(s), Improperly created Sessions on CD/DVD etc etc. If this is the case, you may first try to clear the Surface of your CD or DVD with a soft cloth, slowly. If files or folders are not proper on your CD or DVD, or if you have incomplete writing sessions on your CD or DVD, you can not do anything to open them. Just create another CD or DVD. But if your CD or DVD is rewrite capable, you can format your CD or DVD and rewrite the data, but in this case your Data that's on your CD or DVD will vanish away.

Open the Computer folder in Start Menu, select the DVD Rom Icon, right click, select Eject. If a DVD or CD has exploded inside remove DVD Rom and open the DVD case. Sometimes if you open the front case door cover and access the DVD/CD drive door you will see a tiny hole to insert a open paper clip that will open the tray.

Open Computer in start menu, right click on the DVD/CD rom, Eject. If that fails,Turn off the machine, use a thin instrument to manually pry open the tray. OR remove the DVD/CD rom and disassemble the case. If the DVD or CD has exploded.

To remove the DVD/CD in your computer case. First turn off your computer. Remove the power cord, open the left side of your computer case. Then remove the connectors of your DVD/CR ROM then unscrew all the screws that screwed in your DVD/CD ROM. After you loosen your DVD/CR ROM push it out and pull it out in your casing. something stuck our dvd-door.

2. remove the thing that block our dvd door (like paper, tissue, paperclip)

maybe our dvd mechanic door had block by dust
-----basicaly, clean it.

in my case. I knock the upper top of the dvd door hard (but not by hammer, by my hand) while i push open button (the menu open/'open' word is display at the menu). if u're lucky, the dvd door will open

The motor that open the door has probably died. This is a common occurrence with cheaper DVD players. You will probably have to buy a new one.
If there is a disc stuck in there, you will have to remove the screws underneath and open the case to remove the disc.

In the front cover of the DVD there is a very small hole. straighten out a paper clip and gently insert into hole. the Door will manually open.
The case slides off the frame. It may need a little more pressure to over come the clip pressure.
