Sony Bravia 46" It is 6+ years old and the color is completly out of reality has only blue, green and white and black . is this normal aging or fixable .

Hi,
A faulty Tcon board is often found responsible for wrong colour type faults. Some times the main board is also found faulty. If it has happened all of a sudden, it is not aging.

If you are using the component video hookup which is 3 wire. green, Blue ,Red and red and white audio. be sure that all 3 of the video wires are pushed in all the way. check both ends. Replace cable. if all 3 are not connected then color will be be goofy. Let me know if this doe not help.

Hi, I'm trying to connect my ACER 5738 notebook to my Sony Bravia KDL-W4500 via the HDMI connections. I can get video fine, but no sound, it still comes out of the notebook speakers. Any ideas?

Buy an audio cable: stereo jack male at one side and RCA Audio on the other end. Connect the male jack to the laptop's headphones and the RCA channels to the audio inputs at the back (you will see the two channels - white and red colored ones).

Sony Bravia 40'' LCD 240Hz TV can't get video signal from DVD

Are you absolutely sure you have it wired up right? Are the Cable RIGHT wires color to color, is the "Correct Input" selected? Remember you do NOT use "Channels" but an AV, AUX, or External.input. Most DVD etc, use AV, IE: Yellow, (Video), Red, (Audio), White (Audio) for the OUT connections. These go color to color at TV end. And uses 3 Cables. The "Other" type of Output/Input is Component Video. This is ALL Video, Red, Blue, Green, these go color to color as well. BUT you MUST also send the Sound, Via the AV, IE: The Red & White, AV, Audio IN/OUT connections, So you in this case would have 5 cables/connections in all.

Can't not get our Nintendo 64 to work on our new Bravia TV

The Nintendo 64 sends out a signal that can only be properly decoded by old CRT TV's

Those Bravia TV's are the God's TV's even if they did work on it I wouldn't recommend it because it would most definitely eventually ruin the life span of your TV.

But to answer your Question the Cables should be plugged into AV1 which is the Red White and Yellow Connections

No Color

did u try cleaning the video head? heres how! unplugged the unit. open the cover. get a piece of clean white paper. put a little alcohol on it. place your finger on the paper and slowly touch the head but not too much force then gadually move the drum back and forth. donot move your finger up or down. just clean it horizontally by slowly moving the drum leaving your finger stationary. let it dry and test. if the problem persist see a doctor(technician), u have a problem with the color circuits. good luck!
