USB memories formatted NTFS will read XviD videos. Ext3 or FAT formatted will copy or read XviD. MPEG4 is not supported but your TV may be able to show them directly via its USB PORT.

Download an MP4 player program to your computer can easily solve the problem. You can try Leawo Blu-ray Player which can support not only MP4, but also many other common formats such as AVI, WMV, DivX, FLV, etc.

My logik 32"tv wont play films i have downloaded on my usb stick

they need to be files of mp4 video filetype dude !!!

mkv , wmv, avi, mov, and H.264 will only return a message "file not supported" if you grab "youtube downloader" free off the net, use the convert feature and select ipad video setting, and "quality as original" and convert the video files to mp4 buddy .....do a few...to test them, and connect your device to the Tv...they will work guaranteed .....then just spend a bit of time converting all your video files to mp4 video, ohhh you might want to delete origianal file after conversion as well after you tested a few converts....reason why is the converter actually clones the original file making a new copy of the file, you will still have th original file there and will be hard to identify which is which by looking at a thumbnail. Remember This Tv can only read filetypes of ">
So use the youtube downloader convert feature and do a convert buddy and your Tv will play em !

Can't play avi videos usb

Hello to all. Have twin boys staying over the holidays and they wished to view movies when they went to bed. have Polaroid 32" P32LED12 fitted to their bedroom. The tv is ok for playing dvd through it but when on using the usb drive with movies on it, it came up Invalid or Unsupported file. Have tried different movies with different formats and came up with nothing to play. So got myseld a video converter program: Wondershare video converter ultimate. On looking at the booklet from Polaroid, it says MPEG1.2, but although on converting the film to this format, the film broke up. So I took an AVI trailer and converted the trailer to all the formats on the converter and stuck this on the USB and stuck it into the tv. Out of all of them, i found that the converter format was VOB DVD FORMAT in this coverter. The film did not break up and the sound great. The film sizie was a bit smaller in frame size but this can be increased. What the converter showed after the conversion was: DVD-Video/ Format: VOB. Video Codec: MPEG-2/ Audio Codec: MPEG-2 audio. There is a settings on this converter at the lower right corner, but you can fiddle with this yourself. But to finish with, I have tried most of the films with different formats and could not get them to work on this tv, so get yourself a video program converter, put in laptop or pc and convert film to VOB. Hope this helps as there is nothing in any help on google for this tv.

What files do a hitachi L32HK04U L support as it wont play my file from my usb stick

This tv will not play , wmv, avi, mov, mkv, or divx, the hitachi uses the xvid codec only, which means your video file types must be mp4, and not the h.264 mp4 either....but true mp4 video, if you have a connected usb drive full of movies, best bet is to download "youtube downloader" (free off the internet) install it to your PC, and use the convert feature to convert your movies to the ipad video mp4 setting, with the "same as original " quality ticked....and convert all your movie files to the xvid codec your tv wants, youtube downloader can convert anything, any filetype even flash. trust me this works 100% i know, i have the Tv, and i do know about codecs and scaling..and metadata....do this will be your best bet guys !!! happy viewing

Eh5000 wont play movies on usb stick

The TV can only play a specific format of video. You may be using MP4 files while the TV can only view 3GP or FLV formats; just try downloading a converter (I've used FLV Converter on Windows XP for years, works fine and very simple) and changing the file format.

USB EXTERNAL HARD DRIVE

What format has the drive been formatted in? NTFS or FAT? If it is NTFS it won't work, NTFS is the default format of most modern OS. You need to back up the data and re-format the drive to FAT format and copy the files back on to it.

I have had my ps3 80gb for a couple of years now but have never tried to play a blueray disc untill today. An on screen message states that I must renew the encryption key. Perform a system software update...

You will not be able to play some newer disc because of the technology embedded in them. The updates allow for those necessary files to be implemented into your system giving it the ability to play games and blu rays. Get your system updated.

Download the firmware from the playstation official website onto a usb

stick. Follow the instructions on the website at: www.playstation.com (the update will be at the bottom of the page, on the right side.)

My Sanyo LCD 40XR10F TV does not recongnise any mp4 movies i have on my external hardrive or usb stick?? Does it matter what size usb disk/drive/how many files are stored on them for it to play them?

Before you loaded the hard drive, and USB did you run a "Check File System" through the TV? These devices in order to use the "Time Shift Function", have to have pass with "SUCCESS", displayed on the screen. If not the TV will format a 4GB FAT32 filing system for you. The reason your MP4's might not work might be due to a firmware update that no longer supports MP4. You should have been OK if you recorded the material from the TV. Items you record from the TV will not play on any other device. Using the FAT32 format only allows 4GB but, the TV allow 8GB and a external device can be FAT32 format to 8GB. 8GB is only 2 hours of viewing time. So that should give you some idea how little the amount of files can be handled.
