I cannot print double sided from my Epson stylus photo r300. Double sided printing is listed in properties. It has a "No" for doubled sided printing. I have windows 8. How do I fix this?

Sounds like you need updated drivers for your new printer. Try a google search or go to epson.

I have the same problem with my stylus C88. Epson never did provide Vista drivers so I have never found a way to get the Epson software to work with Vista. The print driver does work so you will be able to print but you'll have to clean the nozzle manually by pushing the button on the printer rather than using the Epson Monitor. Sorry.

I know there are some cleaning cartridges with a chemical thinner that could clean any ink residual that could interfere with proper function of the printing head.
If this doesn't work you probably have to replace the head.
Check also the flat cable that follows the printing head during movement.

There is a driver--it's provided by the Microsoft website. While your computer is connected to the Internet, connect your 785EPX to your computer via USB and then turn the printer on. The driver will auto download and install. I just did this on an HP DV7 laptop and the printer works fine, showing ink levels, too, though you have to access the printer properties to see this.
