Fix jabra cruiser

1. • 1 Unscrew the small screw in the center of the Jabra's body.
     
   • 2 Slide the body to the left until it slips off.
     
   • 3 Unclip the existing, old battery.
     
   • 4 Clip the replacement battery into place.
     
   • 5 Replace the cover and the screw that held it down with the screwdriver.
     
   • You must charge the jabra headset's battery and go through an easy setup process before use.

I can see no mention of battery replacement.
I looked on eBay and found no-one selling replacement batteries for the BT330.

The battery type used in headsets only lasts two to three years, so you may have to replace your headset. I noted a Jabra model BT2040 available that uses non rechargable AAAA batteries.

Your battery may be completely discharged. contact Jabra to fix this problem. Jabra has a lot of problems with their batteries!

I called Jabra Support and they are sending out another unit. The technician indicated that the battery is likely defective and is not field replaceable.

The first dude is an idiot! The battery is toast go buy a headset that isn't as old as this Jabra! I also have the issue & no didn't plug it in wrong...it only goes one way! Mine sat for a few years unused & now will not charge...You can get newer headsets pretty cheap! Look around!

This is what I did:
1. open the headset by following these steps:

2. measure the voltage of the battery. If it is too low, the internal charger circuit may not like it. Mine was 2.6v.
3. Charge the battery "manually" by connecting to 3 serially connected rechargeable batteries (final voltage should be around 3.7v). Three NiMH AA batteries are fine.
4. Reassemble and hope your headset is back to business.
