Try this. With the unit off, listen carefully at the top of the receiver. When you push the power button, you should immediately hear one click, followed by another after 5-20 seconds. If you don't hear the second click, your unit has DC Offset(a damaged amplifier)..If you hear the second click, check to be sure the Tape Monitor switch is not on. You can also look at the RCA(not speaker connections) outputs, and make sure you have nothing plugged in there. If you need more assistance, or would like to inquire about a repair, please visit my website at audioserviceclinic.com. Thank you.

Make sure your speakers are the correct impedance for the amp. They should be 8 Ohm.

Connect them to the Speakers A sockets on the back of the amp.

Set the Speaker selector switch on the amp's front to Speaker A

Connect your source as detailed in the other answers.

Set the graphic EQ to either Off or Flat or put all the sliders to the middle position.

Apart from setting the volume on the amp, that should be it. If there's still no sound then you should recheck your wiring and input selection (make sure the red & white are connected to an IN and not and OUT on the amp). KIf there's still no sound then either the speakers or the amp (or both) have a fault.

SOURCE: sound problem on Sony TA-343 amplifier

If you're not experienced with troubleshooting and repairing electronics, I strongly suggest professional service. There are internal problems and most likely several components will need replacement.

Sony amp ta fe370 is no producing sound at the speakers but there is sound in the headphones.

Did inserting the headphone Jack cut the speakers off before it stopped working? If it did then you should look at the headphone jack socket inside the unit. The terminals could be either bent out of shape, broken or just dirty.

Sony ta ax 295. Not getting any sound from any channels. I'm very knowledgeable in hooking these up, so it's not rca or speaker issues... It's something electrical. Any ideas?

Sir my speaker bose 301 series v and i connect to amplifier pioneer 5 x130 watts.also i have center speaker.bose vcs10.is this compatible to good music and movie....

If they're all Bose 301-5's then you have the rare instance of matching speakers all around, so when sounds move around the room in a movie they don't change. I'm envious because even though I have Bose 901's (front) and 301's I don't have that exact match you have. The 301 sound is very good to my ears.

I assume you have them all set as LARGE speakers in the Pioneer, since they are capable of good bass and the parameter is more about Bass response than actual size.

If you added a subwoofer (which you may not need) you might fill in the lowest bass and effects channel.
