That's short for "shuffle". In shuffle play, the player randomly picks a track from the CD to play, so you don't know which one is coming up next. On some Sony models with multiple-CD players, shuffling also randomly picks one of the discs as well as a random track. I don't know if yours is one of them, though.
that is not 5hf, but rather shf which is short for shuffle. There should be a shuffle button on the deck. You need to turn it off. Shuffle mode randomly plays different songs.
For the Sansa Fuze, the selection Shuffle Mode is correct, just like you told:
In Main Menu > Music > Submenu > Music Options > Shuffle Mode:
1. Select Shuffle.
2. Use thumbwheel to choose Shuffle on or Shuffle off.
(to play songs in random order, set Shuffle to ON).
3. Press Select to change the Shuffle mode.
you can always set your device to Shuffle songs by selecting: Shuffle/Shuffle All/Shuffle All Songs... etc. that's how you can play randomly! Hope that helps!
most of the time its either on random mode or on shuffle.....idk how your mp3 works but normally you can take it off by going to the menu and searching for shuffle or random....
I think I found the solution... to get into the "playing mode" submenu, a song has to be playing when you hit the mode select button. Otherwise, if a song is stopped/paused, you get the "stop mode" menu.
Once in the "playing mode" menu, select "repeat", and then scroll all the way to the right to get the shuffle/random mode.
if you press the tool button and then go to play mode when your on the screen that comes up when the music is playing there should be an option to do many types of shuffle including all songs or just the songs in that folder.
