1st make sure screen is clean. inspect when off. use only cloth slightly damp with water.
2nd make sure it is not the image by looking at another image or a blank white screen. Some test images will display each color.
if it is there on any image the pixels are dead. But being circles sounds more line screen cleaning

Black spot appeared on the screen on bottom left side how to clear it

A large black spot usually means the LCD screen is damaged. It may have fine cracks around the black spot. In this case the LCD screen needs to be replaced.
A replacement screen maybe available for your laptop from this WEB site.

Looking to buy a used pair of pvs 7 nightvision goggles and owner says there are a couple of small black spots when you view is this a cause for concern and what else should i look for ?

Hello, that is normally to have some black spots. Now, if tries to tell that this Military spec. He wrong. Two black spot on any image tubes used by the US Military is rejected, they only allow one black spot and that if everything else is OK. How fuzzy is around the outer circle of the image tube. If there is a uniformed green pattern through out the scope. I would say it was OK. But remember "Buy be Aware". GB...stewbison

Ds lite case repair

Ok i can tell you how to do this.

First of all you need to make sure you have a new shell and the tools needed for the job, listed below.

  1. NDS screwdriver - $9.99
  2. #00 screwdriver - $9.99
  3. small pair of adjustable pliers (for replacing case).
  4. Soldering Iron (required to replace top display screen or case)

image 1.

OK. Look at image 1 above. Remove all the screws circled.

if you need to access the top of the DS Look at Image 2 below & remove those screws.

Image 2.

*Tech NOTE * Be careful not to lose ur shoulder button shaft and springs (Image 3 circled in RED) they will come out on you.
Also you will see a small cable circled below in Blue (image 3) Only remove this if you absolutely have to, this connects your display touchpad to your motherboard and can be very difficult to reinstall.

Image 3

Their will also be a white cable (not in pic) this can be unplugged by lifting the little round connector with your fingernail; allowing you to pull it through the hinge.

If you unplug the Black cable and pull it loose, you will definitely have a difficult time getting it back underneath its socket. It's easier to desolder it from the board in the top case ( Image 4 in green)

I know this is a lot, just bear with me we're almost done.

This next part you have to use EXTREME CAUTION

To unplug your display cables (image 5) you will have to very carefully lift the little black latch on the connector. You will have to use 2 fingernails, one on each side, to lift these off. IF you only lift from one side you will break the Black latch on the connector making the entire board - garbage! Same for reassembly - be wary pushing the latch back down. The top cable circled in Red is for the bottom display. The bottom one is for the top display. There will be a single screw holding the MotherBoard in place. Remove it and lift the MB out carefully.

IMAGE 6

Above (image 6) is the Bottom display assembly. The 3 pieces are held together with adhesive. The display is on teh bottom, the Touchpad in the center, and the top is the protective shielding. They can be pried apart carefully using fingernails or a plastic tool (be very careful not to crack anything)

IMAGE 7- TOP DISPAY
13bd982.jpg

Image 7 is of the top display. Where you see the green circles is where the screw covers are located. use something very small to pry them out. Remove the 4 screws.

Hinge Removal - Image 8
25a9a36.jpg

Remove the two screws circled in Image 8 to get the hinge apart. If you are replacing your top display this will greatly help when you are trying to fit the cable back through the hinge hole. The Top can now be safely removed
**TECH NOTE**
Fitting your new cable through the hinge hole can be a bit frustrating. make sure you have separated the top & bottom cases to give yourself more working room. Remove the black and white wires, just out of the way. The cable will go into that thin slot a bit. When you reassemble it make sure to roll the end evenly from top to bottom first. This will help get it through the hole. Then put the round metal ring on afterwards, lastly put the wires through.

your speaker wires are soldered to your top display. To replace the case you will need to remove the wires to go through the hinge, and to replace the display you will have to remove them also (image 9)

**Tech nOte**
when reassembling the top and bottom shell take note of the on / off button and the switch. Make sure you line the switch up with the button or you may break it***

Image 10

Image 10 - note the black wire that goes through the hinge. It is "jumped" (meaning it is connected to two places on the board, one next to the other)

The collar that fits inside the plastic case hole.

Circled in green in image 12 is the angle adjuster. This is best installed with a small pair of adjustable pliers.

WOW... we're done!! As far as I can see this is a complete breakdown for anything you would need to fix. I hope this is a great help to you.

Back spot on canon ixus 860 screen

Well, not sure if you got it resolved yet but the same thing happened to me. Brought it back and got it fixed under warranty. You'll most likely see more gray circles appear over time. They don't affect the picture but they are annoying.
