IPad 2 VS Kindle 3

Before compare iPad 2 with Kindle 3, it is necessary to know more about iPad 2 and Kindle 3.

What is iPad 2?
iPad 2 certainly is great as a mobile device to consume contents - it's now faster, thinner, lighter, with two cameras and looks even better. While other companies think tablets are only an extension to their computers and TVs, Apple has turned it around to make computers and TVs extensions to the iPad 2.
What is Kindle 3?
According to Wikipedia, Amazon announced a new generation of the Kindle on July 28, 2010. While Amazon does not officially add numbers to the end of each Kindle denoting its generation, most reviewers, customers and press companies refer to this updated Kindle as the "Kindle 3".
Now let's compare iPad 2 with Kindle 3, this is the primary difference between the iPad 2 vs Kind 3.
iPad 2 VS Kindle 3- Features and Uses.
There are some amazing new Kindle 3 features that are making the Kindle 3 far more popular than its nearest rivals, but the fact that one can read and access thousands of eBooks on the iPad as well means that these two devices are in direct competition with each other, at least for a particular segment. The Kindle 3 though is severely limited in this comparison, as one can only use it for downloading and reading eBooks, and for surfing the Internet via Wi-Fi connection, or over the 3G network, even though it can qualify as the best eBook reader.
On the other hand, the iPad 2 is a complete multimedia device, over which you can read eBooks, surf the Internet, open and edit word editors and spreadsheets, watch movies and also play many games. Thanks to the Apple Store which provides more than 200,000 different applications.
iPad 2 VS Kindle 3 - Physical Specifications
The iPad is also much bigger (9.56 x 7.47 x 0.5 inches) in comparison with the Kindle 3 (7.5 x 4.8 x 0.34 inches), and also heavier (25.6 ounces vs 8.7 ounces) for the Wi-Fi + 3G enabled models. Again, this is a natural result due to the differences in the purposes of both the devices. The Kindle 3 has a memory of 4 GB, whereas the iPad has 3 different variants, namely the 16 GB, the 32 GB and the 64 GB models. Another notable advantage of the iPad is the presence of a touchscreen, which is becoming the norm for all electronic devices with each passing day.
More info: how to jailbreak ipad 2, free dvd to ipad 2 converter, convert dvd to ipad 2 mac.
Having the latest version of iTunes installed on computer, you are able to connect your iPad to computer with USB and sync ebooks to computer.

After getting the ebooks in iTunes library, you are able to sync the books to iPad easily. The following guidance will show you how to finish the task.
1. Plug iPad into computer via USB, and iTunes will launch automatically.
2. Click the iPad icon and choose Books category in the left sidebar.
3. Check Sync Books and choose All Books or Selected Books.
4. Click Sync at the right bottom to start syncing books to iPad.

After syncing books to iPad with iTunes, you will get the books in the iBooks app on iPad. Now you have an enjoyment. But note that you should shut down auto sync before you sync books with iTunes. To shut down auto sync of iTunes, you need to go to Edit > Preferences > Devices on iPad, and check "Prevent iPods, iPhones and iPads from syncing automatically".

If you have downloaded or got books from elsewhere, you can add books to iTunes at first, and then sync these ebooks to iPad. To add ebooks from computer to iTunes library, you only need to click File > Add File to Library at the upper left corner of iTunes, and then the ebooks will be added to iTunes Book Library.

Transfer books from Kindle to iPad

You are able to move the books to computer, and then sync ebooks to iPad with iTunes. When the Kindle users connect their Kindle tablets to computer with the USB cable, their computers will recognize their Kindle tablets as external hard drives. Then the users can copy and paste the ebooks from Kindle to computer easily. After that, the users are able to sync the books from computer to iPad with iTunes.

This is easy to be done. But when users begin to sync their iPad with iTunes, they may come up with the sync problems of iTunes. The problem may come up when users sync ebooks from iTunes to iPad. During the sync, iTunes will erase all the non-purchased items in your iPad mini. If you are new to iOS devices, you will probably lose files during the sync with iTunes, so you'd better close the auto sync and manually sync the ebooks to your iPad mini with iTunes. The following tutorial will be helpful if you aren't sure about how to accomplish the task:
 1. Start iTunes and go to "Edit > Preference > Devices", and check "Prevent iPods, iPhones and iPads from syncing automatically".
 2. Plug iPad into computer via USB cable, and the software will recognize your iPad and display the iPad icon at the upper right corner.
 3. Click the iPad icon and choose "Books" in the summary panel. Choose the books you want to sync to iPad in the list below, and click "Apply" to start.
