It seems you are using a print server to connect the printer 1280 to your LAN. Uninstall the printer software and printer server driver. Connect the print server to the network and first re-install the print server driver. Then connect the printer to the print server and install the printer software. Refer user manual for assistance. Bot the print server and printer software should be compatible with your operating system.
I Have A Epson PLQ-20 passbook Printer and it is connected through USB cable. after successful setup when i give print command to the printer it is not responding and nothing happened.
It seems that either the drivers are not installed for this printer or the printer has not been selected in the word processor.
First insert the CD that came with the printer in the drive and install the driver for this printer. reboot. and connect the printer and allow Windows to detect it and load its drivers.
Now second, open the document that you want printed in a word processor and give the print command. Here you will find an option on which printer to print on. Select this printer and get the prints.

Your DHCP server will keep track of which MAC Addresses have been given what IP addresses. From there, find the IP address of your Print Server. Ping the IP address to confirm IP connectivity between your computer and the print server. You should then be able to upgrade the firmware.
