if you are using google chrome ( possibly for google also) there is a google program that can be down loaded free from google that removes a bug in the google system and allows it to work properly

Once go to setting and Apps. Search about Google Search, Forced stop it and click on icon from main screen. You will access to it.

Please be aware that any browser or search engine for free, will send you advertisements. That is the only way they can offer you free service.
I don't know what search engine will send less advertisements, as soon as you pay for it. But in the endmost "free" providers of e-mail, browsers and search machines will scan everything you send out to the net and try to send you adds.

Not sure what browser you are using but if you go to the settings tab, you should see area for your search engine. Set that to google.com or if you want the browser to automatically open to it, then set it On Start Up to your google page for a home page. Hard, not knowing which browser is used.

OK, in all seriousness, have you got working batteries in the remote, and have you tried pushing each button in turn, yet?

Because after 10 seconds of googling and 30 seconds of scrolling (through http://www.projectorcentral.com/pdf/projector_manual_5671.pdf , found near the top of http://www.projectorcentral.com/Hitachi-CP-X2011.htm , which was the first non-sponsored result on the search page), I can see that your remote has a reasonably clearly marked and utterly industry-standard "MENU" button, above and to the right of the main oval-shaped collection of navigation buttons at the lower end of the panel. That will almost certainly do what you need.

Go to add/remove programs and remove anything that reads google. It will probably read something like google tool bar or search. If you don't use it you won't miss it, and removing it will stop it from overriding the search engine you do use. If you need any more help let me know.
