Like most pumps; air, hydraulic, etc. there is a one-way valve with a ball or flap mechanism. If a small particle gets stuck preventing it from sealing, it'll leak pressure preventing it from building up. an easy way to try to clean this valve is to apply some air pressure to the hose end of the sprayer while operating the handle. your instruction booklet may cover this.

SOURCE: immediate pressure loss

your dip tube inside the tank has come loose or has a leak near the top. instead of fluid being pushed up the dip tube into the wand hose the air in the tank is just escaping. You will have to remove the wand hose and figure out where the leak is and fix the dip tube.

SOURCE: Tank will not pressurize after pushing the pump

the reason it might not pressurize is there might be a hole in your tank or hose to the spraier itself if it has holes in the hose get a new one put it on the tank and handle. if hole in the tank duct tape it or seal it with a sealent. but it wont pressurize with a hole because the air comes in and out of the hole. hope this helps you

SOURCE: how do you dismantle the hand pump .. mine is not building up pressure when it is getting empty and I cant seem to be able to dismantle the pump part to check the o rings etc.

Never seen one of this type and if its all plastic which i suspect then its clean the nozzle and if that doesnt work then its the recycle bin iam afraid as a lot of these cheap things do not come apart without breaking

Pressure high on pump but cant bump filter-not solid-handle flimsee

These filters need to be taken apart every few months and cleaned out. When you "bump" the filter you are only rearranging the debris that is already inside it.
If the handle seems "flimsy" it may be that part of the mechanism inside has become unattached. Best bet is to open the filter and clean it out. A pool guy can help you with that to verify that the internals are working properly.

Lid does not seal---very loose

If sprayer doesnt seal against pressure, I suggest check cover gasket A (image 1). Check pump cylinder gasket B (image 2) and additionally, check the procedure if pump dont build pressure. on how to remoce pump cylinder on follow lines.

If pump doesnt build pressure... in most instances, failure of the pumo to build air pressure in the sprayer is due to dry or worm plunger cul leather. To work on cup leather, always remove plunger from pumo cylinder. Do not attempt to oil cup leather through breather hole in **** cap.

First, unthread pumo cap A (image 1). If cap is too tight, and if pumo will build even slight temporary pressure, pressurizing the tnak will make it easier to loosen cap. Once cap is lossened, release tank pressure. Hold pump cylinder by inserting hand through tank filler openning (image 2), and unscrew cap all the way. Pull plunger from cylinder, and remove cylinder from inside the tank.

zjlimited_2013.jpg

Place a few drops of clea oil (not heavier than SAE 30) on leather, and massage into leather until it is soft. Replace plunger cup leather if damaged (image 3). to remove plunger leather assembly, use coin rather than screw driver in the slot of the plunger cup retainer. To reassemble, hold pump cylinder in tank openning, with squared edge of flange, at top of cylinder, toward tank wall.

Hope this helps to solve it.

Pressure washer only works if you crank it with pressure handle open , then works great if you let off it builds up pressure . and no water will come out when handle held fully open , bleed off pressure...

Hello..the unloader valve on the pump where you attach your water supply and your pressure outlet hose is the problem. There is a spring relief valve that is most likely frozen and not allowing the water pressure from the pump to circulate within itself. They range from 60.00 to 150.00 depending on your make and model.

Motor turns over but seems to be a lot of pressure on it . it kicks back hard

Make sure you are holding the trigger and water is spraying while you are trying to start it, otherwise pressure will build up in the pump and it will kick back.

Cant hold pressure in fuel rail 1993 jeep gand charokee seems to want to start but shuts right down fuel is coming out of line at good rate i replaced fuel pump and fuel pressure regulator no change yet...

i'm assuming you disconnected the fuel line and placed the line in a container to catch the fuel when observing the flow.

it might sound strange but i think there might be a leak in the tank coming from the fuel pump assembly. it's possible a tube or hose is broken on the assembly and the pump is just pumping the gas back into the tank.

there's flow because there is no pressure building up with the line disconnectedand the gas flows. when connected, pressure builds and blows out the break in the tube or hose.

My fuel tank seems to be building excessive pressure, I've changed the gas cap twice, it doesn't matter if the tank is empty-full!! Also, the truck is hard to start unless I cycle the key two or three...

Yeah that is what it seems like thats why you have to turn your key on so many times to prime your fuel pump. Its not holding pressure in the line while truck is not running.

Annovi pump wont build pressure

try force feeding the pump first, this can help to clear any dirt which might be in the valves.
you have 6 valves which are all the same , but 3 are suction and 3 are for pressure.
just take them out and put under a slow dripping tap and fill with water, if the water holds inside the valve will be ok, if it leaks just check for dirt.
hope that helps
