If you switch the unit on and water spits out of a connection, that's where you either put the O-rings or replace them.

It sounds like you have a leak on your outlet system. Please check your high pressure hose at the machine and also the trigger and lance.Check all o rings etc and replace if needed. If there was any leaks at all then this will stop the machine from surging.

Why doesn't the unit stop running when pausing while pressure washing, it use to

Hi If you have any leaks on the high pressure side then the unit will keep starting. Please check all external hoses etc and o rings to make sure that they are water tight. The most common one is where you screw your high pressure hose on,there is a o ring inside the coupling that usually wears. Also check all o rings at the trigger and lance. If there are no leaks then it sound like you have a problem with your pressure switch.

Removing lance from gun on McCulloch FH140A pressure washer

The Karcher is the same, and possible made the Mac. It's likely the sealing 'O' ring has deteriorated and stuck the two parts together. Try a little petrol around the joint to soften the 'O' ring. Perhaps it will come apart then. You will need a new o-ring however.

The high pressure lance has sprung a leak can i purchase a new one

If we're talking about a pressure washer, then yes, you can purchase a new lance. Companies usually sell replacement parts, and there are also after-market parts available. You didn't state the brand or model # of the pressure washer, and depending on the brand and model, you may be able to repair the leak. It may be a matter of a worn O ring. If you purchased the washer locally, go back to the store and ask for a repair kit or O ring (s). They will also have lances as well.

No pressure unless i take the nosle off , pull trigger and put nossel back on then it's ok until i release the trigger again ?

unloader valve sticking in the pump head. remove unloader valve/ pressure reducing valve as per parts manual.

It will probably be caked up in white crystal type deposits if its an aluminium pump head. clean off the deposits and inspect the 'o' rings. if 'o' rings ok , apply silicon grease and refit.

It could also be a partially blocked lance jet not allowing enough water to come out of the lance if it is a flow sensitive unloader valve.

My pressure washer seems to be leaking at the lance connection can anyone help?

Take the lance off and look to see if there is a missing o-ring or maybe a crack

Karcher dirtblaster does not oscerlate the water.

Stripped down the head of the dirt blaster by unscrewing the shaft from the end nozzle(it was quite tight). Removed the white disc from the nozzle using pliers and then cleaned out the 4 holes in the disc. Under the disc is an assembly which houses a ball bearing. I noticed that the ball bearing did not protude beyond the recess which houses it. I PUT TWO SMALL FIBRE WASHERS IN THE RECESS THEN REPLACED THE BALL BEARING. THEN REPLACED THE WHITE DICSC. Noting that the ball bearing protrude by approx 1/16th of an inch.
Re-assembled and the dirt blaster now works perfectly

Tip of LANC connector on Sony tripod broken off!

Two options:

1. Replace the cable with the same connector.
2. Replace the 2.5 mm connector.

I took the LANC cable from an old Sony remote, open up the tripod remote control handle and replace the whole cable. Some soldering required to remove the wires from the PC board and solder the new wire.

The PC board has marking White/Black/Red, the replacement connector with the Tip to the White, the Ring to the Red, and the Shell to the Black.

Good luck!
