you have to physically save any work
save the history to a usb drive in case you have computer failure

Plug the flash drive into your computer's rectangular-shaped USB drive.

Wait for Windows to recognize the system.

Windows operating systems use "plug and play" technology, which means that computer peripherals like USB flash drives can be recognized instantly by the system without further need for device configuration.

Open the drive on your computer.

Open the "My Computer" directory if using Windows XP or the "Computer" directory if using

Windows 7 or Vista. Locate the flash drive letter and icon under the section named "Devices with Removable Storage." Double-click the flash drive icon to open it.

Transfer files to the flash drive.

Click the "Restore" button in the top-right corner of the "Computer" or "My Computer" directory to shrink the window so that you can view your computer's desktop background.

Open the folders or locations of the files which you want to save to the flash drive.

Click and drag with your mouse each of the files and folders you want to save to the flash drive over to the empty space in the "My Computer" or "Computer" window.

Release the mouse button to let the files "drop."

Close the windows and directory locations when finished.

Save files directly onto the flash drive. From an open file (i.e. text, spreadsheet, image files. etc.), click the "File" menu and "Save as" option.

Select the "My Computer" or "Computer" directory in the drop-down menu at the top of the "Save As" box. Double-click the flash drive letter under the "Devices with Removable Storage" section.

Click the "Save" button to save the file onto the flash drive.

Close the windows and files when finished

Flash drive not detected, it means there is damage to hardware.

Damage to hardware, there are two types
1. Cracked solder.
Solution: Open flash drive casings, heat the tin solder.

2. Resistor (R) broken
Solution: Open flash drive casings, replace the resistor.

Hi , i hope in a certain way we can help you''' please insert your flash drive into your PC USB port then go to my computer and click to open then you will see the administrative tools click to open , then click computer management ,when it opened you can see disk management and click to open you will see your flash drive on an assigned drive letter, then on the drive where you can see your flash drive click right to follow what command do you wish to do , so click right and then click format to finish, just follow commands . . . . .

Moving files from your computer to the USB flash drive is simple. Plug in your flash drive. Go to "Computer" or "My Computer". You should now see your flash drive show up under a drive letter, like E: or F: for example. Double click this drive letter and a window should open up. Alternatively, when you plug in the flash drive you may get a message on your computer with an option "Open/View folders and files". You can click this to open the flash drive window.

Now, go to the location on your computer where the photos are located. You can use your mouse, click and hold , drag the mouse over files you wish to move. Now that the photos are highlighted, you can click, hold and drag them to the flash drive window. Alternatively, you can right click on pictures and choose the "copy" option. You can then right click inside of your flash drive window and chose "paste". Either of these options will move the photos from your computer to your flash drive.

Open "My Documents".
Open "My Music".
Open "iTunes".
Open 'iTunes Music".
Click once on a folder.
Click 'Edit'.
Click 'Copy to Folder'.
Choose the drive-letter assigned to your flash-drive.
Click 'copy'.

try plugging your flash drive into a usb port then going into my computer and opening the appropriate drive letter for the flash drive.

You can also put a shortcut to the flash drive on your desktop and simply open it to see what is actually on your flash drive.

You can also use windows explorer and open up your flash drive icon and see a listing of what is on it.

Your problem may be that the flash drive has its own installation program and it has possibly been wiped or cleared accidently.

remove the protective cap on one of the sides.

Your flash drive might have caught virus or viruses that corrupted your files, thus, needed to reformat and can't be open...else, u can't use your flash drive anymore and may cause total lost of data in the near future....the only choice t continue using your drive is to reformatting it. But the consequence of it is the data that you are having right now will be deleted. Be careful for viruses next time...thank u!

Try opening the 'computer' icon - normally shows as an icon on your desktop or in start menu then you will hopefully see the flash drive listed along with C Drive, CD Drive etc. Double click or right click and open - this should let you see and open individual files on the flash.

You must have all the programs files for the thing your opening. For example, If Im trying to open up google Sketchup from my Flash Drive, I need to have all the files that sketch up uses to run on the flash drive.
