you can restore your iphone 5c via itunes this will remove any passcode from your iphone but it also delete all data on your iphone 5c. you can also start in recovery mode

for iphone 5c to enter in recovery mode press and hold home and top button or home and side button until you will see recovery mode screen.

you can also recover passcode from system folder but for that you need to have special software which can access your root folder.

So to make sure I am correct, you shut your phone off and cant get it to turn back on because your home button is stuck?

Try holding on to the lock button for about 30 seconds. If that doesn't work, try plugging it into your computer / laptop.

I think you can only take it to apple at this point. You could also try hard rebooting it - holding down the home AND power button for a long time and see if it eventually lights up. Happened with my iPad once and I took it to the store and they just held down the button for like 30 seconds and it eventually turned on. If that doesn't work definitely take it to the apple store.

Hold down the top button and the bottom round button together for 6 seconds and shut down your iPhone. Hold top button down for 6 seconds to restart.
Hopefully this will reset the iPhone to working order.
Also when functioning correctly again... quitting all Apps prior to a shutdown (above) is a good idea about once a month.

Hold your thumb on the bottom edge of the screen, then move it up the screen. This will reveal the "Control Centre". The orientation lock is the top-right "button".

Have you tried turning the phone completely off and back on again? Sometime it just needs a fresh start.
press the button at the top and hold for 10 seconds, the slide to turn off. Press the top button to turn on again when it is completely off.

You can try to do a reset by holding down the top right button and the home button (on the bottom middle of phone)

try holding down the home and lock button together
if that doesn't work try charging it

There was a similar problem with my ipod nano.. The ipod/iphone has got the apple logo built in but if it cant fint the firmware to run then is shuts itself down. to fix and restore.. 1. Put the iPhone in DFU mode by holding the home and power buttons for 10 secs the hold the home for 10 secs.
2. Connect to itunes
3. itunes should say " iTunes has found a iPhone in recovery mode. You need to restore the iPhone before it can be used with iTunes"
4. Restore - this should take an hour or so..
5. Done.
This works with my ipod touch but i havnt got a iPohne and the firmware is the same.
