I hear sound when paired but cannot mute, answer calls or adjust volume buttons
It sounds like you may have a broken wire inside. I would inspect the circuit board on the left side of the earpiece first. Look for shorts, broken wires or anything that looks burnt. You can use a multi meter to make sure the wires in the neck band are not broken. Here is the video showing how to open it up:

press both the volume buttons together for a few seconds... light should flash red & blue

Make sure the headset is off when you hold the call button for 5 sec. And don't stop holding it when you hear/see something happen after the first 2 sec. Keep holding it for the full 5 sec. The blue light will become solid which means it's in pairing mode.

Turn the unit OFF, then press and hold the power/call button for about 5 seconds, until you hear two short beeps and the blue light stays on. Browse for the device and when asked for the PIN, enter four zeroes (0000).

Be sure the the headset in in 'Pairing' mode.
When in pairing mode, the light should be flashing red and blue or have a steady blue.
The put most headsets in pairing mode, turn headset OFF,
then hold the power button until it goes into pairing mode as discribed above.
Then you can discover it with your phone or PC. Pin (pass key) should be 0000 (4 Zeros) or try 1111, 1234, 9999

I fixed my Headphones that would not stop vibrating by leaving them ON until the Power drain out and they stopped vibrating. Then Turned them OFF, plug in the charger they began to Vibrate again but after the charge they Stopped Vibrating and have been ok ever since
