Dishwasher MDBTT53AWW3 will not start. I have replaced the door switch interlock, and also the control board and it still will not start. What else might be the problem.

The dishwasher would not start so I gave it a minute and it started, but that was the last time it started. All of the lights work except the start button.

SOURCE: problems with Whirlpool dishwasher model GU1500XTKB0

will these units (silo and jtrip) start back on their own? if so, it is likely they are heating the water.
otherwise it sounds like a logic board, unless there is a defective door switch or sensor issue.
electronics seem to be a recurring problem with whirlpool.
i would ask whirlpool (electorlux) to either buy it back or fix it.
good luck

SOURCE: Error code 2H.....or stops on last minute

I don't think you'll find it's the control board.
I think you'll find it's the heater box.
Not an easy job to do yourself unless of course you know what you are doing.
I would suggest you contact Bosch. One other possiblity is that the water inlet is blocked, although to be honest this is very rare.

SOURCE: MDBH968AWS3 THE AUTOWASH BUTON WILL NOT LIGHT AND IT WONT START

Lemme guess: First only one key failed, but OK, so we just use another setting. Then another key, then all keys but, say, AutoClean, but no Start, right? There is a ribbon cable connecting the keypad to a circuit board that corrodes from moisture, despite being "sealed" in a plastic sandwich. Imagine, moisture inside a dishwasher! As the corrosion progresses, it eventually breaks the connection to each key. Clearly a design flaw--Maytag has replaced this cable twice now (under warranty) in my first year of ownership, yet they continue to replace with the exact same part, and it fails in the exact same place each time.I fully expect this one to fail within six months or less. Only thing left is BBB.

GLD2800V00WW GE dishwasher - doesn't stop washing when door is opened.

The OP Michelle writes with the FIX! Well done.

I was able to repair by doing the following: Removed the inner cover and the cover over the interlock switch. The peg and spring between the interlock switch and the other switch (?) flew out. The peg slides in-between two white plastic "legs" that seemed bent. Tried to straighten them, re-inserted the peg and spring. Removed the interlock switch, checked connection was firm and reinserted. Made sure peg slides up and down. Closed everything up and voila! The dishwasher stops when door is opened. No new parts needed!

I cant get my dishwasher to start

Defective Door Switch? The next thing that could be causing your dishwasher to not start could be the door switch. This door switch is also sometimes called a door lock or door interlock switch. This switch is a safety feature and makes it so the dishwasher will not run if the door is open. If your dishwasher won't start, then it is possible this switch is bad. This switch is located inside the door panel. To determine if the door switch is bad, remove the control panel, locate the door switch, and test it for continuity.
Blown Thermal Fuse?Another part in your dishwasher that could be causing it to not start could be the thermal fuse. This fuse is designed to blow if the dishwasher overheats. If this fuse blows, it will need to be removed and replaced to make your dishwasher work. Most dishwashers have the thermal fuse located in the control panel area. To determine if the thermal fuse is bad, remove the control panel, locate the fuse, and test it for continuity.
Broken Door Latch? The part that holds your dishwasher door shut is called a door latch. 99% of the time this latch is made from plastic. If this latch becomes broken or cracked, it will prevent your door from closing properly. To determine if your door latch is bad, inspect your dishwasher door and be sure the latch is not broken.
Defective Main Control Board? The control board in your dishwasher supplies power to all components. If your dishwasher won't start, this could mean that the board is bad. If you have tested and confirmed working all the other steps above, then the control board in your dishwasher is most likely bad and replacing it would be a smart option at this point.

Washer doesn't start / lights up. Breaker is OK, electrical outlet too... What could be the problem ?? Control Board.. Fuse

More than likely it is the computer board. However it can be also caused by the main power switch or the door interlock switch. There is no fuse, the main power supply is part of the computer board. The switches are very easy to check but the front display panel of the dish washer needs to be disassembled as access to the main computer board is required. A multimeter it is also required for the switch verification. Make sure the main power cord of the dishwasher has been unpluged. Removing the front display panel it is not difficult. Once the front display panel is removed you have access to the main power switch and the door interlock switch. Unplug the power cord from the dishwasher and remove the connectors from both switches. Verify continuity on both switches using the multimeter. If you have electronics back ground skills you can also verify if the main computer board has power; for this you need to have both switches connected and the door interlock switch latched. You should be able to measure 110 volts AC on the two wires comming out of the main power switch connecting to the comptuter board.

Good luck!

Kitchenaide dishwasher KUDS25SHBS1

I have listed COMMON problems / reasons why a dishwasher won't start..
The thermal fuse might have blown. The thermal fuse helps to prevent damage to the dishwasher by turning off power so that it doesn't overheat. Once blown, the thermal fuse will have to be replaced for the dishwasher to work. The thermal fuse is usually located in the control panel on the control board or mounted to the bottom of the tank behind the lower panel. The thermal fuse can be checked for continuity.
The door switch, or switches, are sometimes called interlock switches. The door switch prevents the dishwasher from running while the door is open. If the dishwasher won't start, the switch or switches might be defective. To access the door switches, remove the control panel or inside door panel - depending on the model. They can be tested for continuity.
If the dishwasher does not start, the door latch assembly might be defective. These are normally made of plastic and cannot be repaired. If the door won't latch and the door latch is broken, replace it.
The main control board provides power to nearly every component of the dishwasher. If the dishwasher won't start the main control board might be defective. You should first check for more common parts. Many times control boards are replaced unnecessarily because the problem was not diagnosed properly.
