Hi, if you say "your phone", I presume you mean your headphone. If that is so then there should be a headphone socket or jack if you wish, somewhere in the front or at the back of the radio. It will have a small headphone symbol above or below the socket, or even the word HEADPHONES underneath or above. If your radio (Being a CD player as well) has a flip- open cover in the front, then the socket will be in the corner " left or right" behind that cover. If I have misunderstood your inadequate description, then your cellphone could be plugged into the line in RCA socket at the back of your radio (some also in the front) or stereo jack in, using a cable with a jack plug on one end and RCA or stereo plugs on the other end.
Hope this will help
Have a good day.

What does it mean by available devices when you turn blue tooth on on your phone

you can sometimes set the other bluetooth devices to be discover able . If you don't the phone won't see the devices via bluetooth .
Sometimes when you put a device in pairing mode it is making its self discoverable other times you have to set it to be discoverable and then put it in pairing mode.

Bluetooth is a low power radio system that connects devices together.
Say you had taken a photo on your phone well with a computer paired to your phone via bluetooth you can share the file via blue tooth to the computer via the radio link blue tooth system.

If you had a bluetooth hands free system in your car you could pair it with you phone and use it with the phone .

When on my phone it kicks me off the radio?

If you have a Bluetooth u-connect radio and Bluetooth phone it is likely the settings of the phone and car radio are to pair. I expert that during the pairing process and hands free operation the radio sets itself to mute.

Check settings!

Hope this helps?

How do I get my Samsung phone GT s5511T to reconnect to my 2015 Subaru Forrester

First: The Forester's radio/Bluetooth is almost brain dead. We should ALL demand Subaru to provide firmware (software) update to correct to numerous problems with this system.

To somewhat correct your problem:

1. Reserve a big amount of time and patient. It will be painful!
2. Navigate the menus to reset all the radio's Bluetooth settings. Make sure that no phone or device is paired with the radio.
3. Reconnect (pair) your phone to the radio by pressing the TALK button on the steering wheel and follow the voice prompts. Do not pair your phone to the radio by pressing buttons on the radio.

NOTE: ONLY ONE PHONE can be connected to the Subaru's radio system and used automatically when starting the car. Kind-of. If you have another phone or user, then... good luck!

How do I pair my Motorola Droid Maxx with my Subaru car phone?

You'll want to go to Settings > Bluetooth on your Droid Maxx. Turn Bluetooth on and also make it visible. Ensure you keep the phone's screen active while the phone is visible. Then on your car you should initiate the steps found on Subaru BlueConnect for Bluetooth . The car should then initiate pairing. Watch the screen on the car as it might ask to pair with your phone and provide a PIN code. If it does, enter it on your phone to validate the connection. Watch for additional steps that might suggest syncing of your contacts/phonebook, call history, etc. If you have issues. Contact Subaru for assistance.
