Turn off Bluetooth on the iPhone and then delete it from the paired phones for the car. Reactivate Bluetooth and pair/connect the iPhone again as if it were a new phone.

Should fix the problem.

That BT is NOT compatible with iPhone, it is that simple, you must get a compatible one.

Bmw x5 2005 phone does not connect

What phone is it? Is it an iOS phone (iPhone) or an Android phone (anything that isn't an iPhone)? Try this.
First go to the bluetooth settings on your phone and turn it on. Next go to the 'Visibility' area in the bluetooth settings and turn that on.
Go to the phone settings in the car and search for your phone. Sometimes it does take a few attempts for the phone and car's bluetooth to find each other.

Bluetooth connected to x5 but can't play music

You'll have to confirm this with BMW as we have a 650, 135, and X3 not an X5, but your car won't play iphone based music via bluetooth. It will sync contacts, make calls and some other things (particularly with the newer apps) but it won't play your music.

To play your music you have to have the package that allows you to connect your iphone via an iphone cable (usb at one end, iphone connector at the other - what you use to charge it). With this connected you can then see all your music and control your iphone through the screen on the dashoard.

Pair iPhone 4s with 2006 BMW x5

Key-in, Ignition On (but don't need to start the engine)Press the R/T button on the steering wheel. "Activate Phone" should display on the radio. On the iPhone search the BT device. Select your car and enter the passkey when prompt on the iphone. Make sure there is no other BT phone near-by or the old one that has paired with the car previously. There is also the maximum number of devices you can have in the BMW BT sharing. If you reach the max, you may have to clear the car BT pairing memory by removing the power to the BT unit (by removing a fuse in the rear fuse box). The info is in the manual and inside the fuse box (which tell you which fuse is for the BT.)

I have BMW X5 2007, I tried to pair my iPhone 4S with the car thru idrive ! I managed once successfully .... But suddenly Pair drop . next time both can't see each other. I failed to pair anymore. Tried...

If the BMW system is like my system: I found I need to select the phone, then delete it from the system. Make sure your phone Bluetooth is set to on, and available to other devices, then set the car to look for, or add phone. It should find it, then once again, if like my system, send a code to the phone which you need to OK for it to work.

After the latest iPhone 3 update it won't pair with my 2005 RL.

i've had the same problems in the past with an old HTC and my blackberrys Acura tells me the phones aren't compatible. One will find the other and not pair so i started making the car and the device search at the same time, after 4 or 5 tries consecutive tries at that they have all finally paired. -My current Blackberry needed an update for this to work.
