What color screen is it coming up on? Can you get into the BIOS and if you let the hard drive run will it get to a windows screen or another password screen? Is it a situation where no matter what everything is a password screen?

Windows admin password forgotten is a normal thing nowadays and many ways you can choose to unlock. If you have a reset disk you can use it crack directly; if don't have, you can create one by yourself with blank DVD/CD or formatted USB flash drive. To create one you can download Ophcrack or Anmosoft Windows Password Reset. But personally, I strongly recommend Anmosoft, which is more effective and safer and you can learn more from:http://www.resetwindowspassword.com

To reset Windows admin password you can use four ways. The first one is using safe mode to unlock. The second one is to create a reset disk through downloading free reset program, like Ophcrack or Offline NT Password & Registry Editor. The third one is to reinstall the system. The last one is Windows Login Recovery, which can help you reset in 5 minutes. And personally recommend Windows Login Recovery and more details you can visit:http://www.windowsloginrecovery.com

At one time , I had the experience with forgetting Windows password. Finally I use Windows Password Reset .The program is easy to use.

Here I just list the simple steps:
Step 1: Download Windows Password Reset from http://www.windowspasswordreset.net
Step 2: Burn bootable CD/DVD or USB flash drive
Step 3: BIOS setting
Step 4: Reset Windows password

It's worth a try! Good luck~

As far as I know, you can use free software or paid software to recover an Administrator password. Free one not only wasting you a lot of time, but also losing data sometimes. Paid one will be more safe and stable. I recommend this website: http://www.passwordseeker.com Hope it helps you. Good luck!

The administrator password in Windows XP is the password used to access the "Administrator" account.

This account usually doesn't show up on the logon screen and most people don't know it exists. Usually that's okay because you won't need to use your computer under this account very often.
There are a few times when you will need this password! When you're accessing the Windows XP Recovery Console or you're trying to boot into Windows XP Safe Mode, you'll need this password before you can continue.

Follow the steps below to quickly find the administrator password on your computer!
Difficulty: Average Time Required: Retrieving the Administrator password may take a few minutes up to hours depending on the situation Here's How:

  1. Try leaving the password blank. More often than not, the Administrator password doesn't exist at all! Just press Enter without typing anything when asked for it.
  2. Enter the password to your account. Often times, depending on how Windows XP was setup on your computer, the primary user account will also be the administrator user account.
  3. Try to remember your administrator password. If you installed Windows XP on your computer yourself, you probably set the administrator password during the Windows XP installation process. If that's true, you might be able to make really good guesses at what the password might be.
  4. Have another user enter his or her password. If there are other users that have accounts on your Windows XP computer, one of them may be setup with administrator access.
  5. Recover the administrator password using a password recovery tool. Password recovery tools are software programs that work by making super-fast guess after super-fast guess until the password is discovered.
Note: Some password recovery tools is the list I linked to above also have the ability to transform regular user passwords into administrator passwords. This could be valuable if you know your account's password but it's not an administrator account.
  6. Perform a clean installation of Windows XP. This is a last resort option. This type of installation will completely remove Windows XP from your PC and install it again from scratch.
If you're just curious about your administrator password, I wouldn't suggest this extreme solution. However, if you're needing the administrator password to access diagnostic tools and this is your last effort to save your PC, performing a clean install will work. Keep in mind that it is a time consuming process due to the fact that all of your data must be backed up and then later restored.

If you can not remember the windows admin password, try to reset it
with a reset disk. Free download windows password unlocker from
http://www.passwordunlocker.com and there is a .iso file included.
Burn the .ISO file onto a blank CD which is so-called windows
password reset disk. With this disk, you can reset the unknown
password without erasing anything

What do I do if I forgot my login password?

try booting into safe mode by pressing F8 when you turn your computer on, before windows starts
try to login as administrator leave the password blank
if you successfully log in go to "control panel" then "user accounts"
select your account and change your password.

If you are unable to login as administrator in safe mode you can try a password recovery tool

Lost administrator pass and i have only access to my system my wife and i share the same computer. i dont know how but one of us or our grand daughter lost the administrator pass word and we only have...

so im guessing that your problem is that you want the Administrator password back?
in this case, there is one thing you could do. It's called "Offline NT Password and Registry editor" and you can download it here. You can use this program to change administrator passwords, elevate privilege levels and create new accounts with administrator settings. Read up on it, give it a go. Let me know how it works for you.

I dont know the pass code...?

the simplest way is by restoring the default configuration and then reconfigure the passcode.

You can erase the
current configuration and restore factory defaults in two ways:

• Use the Erase function of the router (see “Erasing the Configuration” on page 6-7).
• Use the Default Reset button on the rear panel of the router. Use this method for cases when
the administration password or IP address is not known.

To restore the factory default configuration settings without knowing the administration password

or IP address, you must use the Default Reset button on the rear panel of the router.
1. Press and hold the Default Reset button until the power light blinks on (about 10 seconds).
2. Release the Default Reset button and wait for the router to reboot.
If the wireless router fails to restart or the power light continues to blink or turns solid amber,
the unit may be defective. If the error persists, you might have a hardware problem and should
contact technical support.

I changed the account user pasword on my pc and now i forgot what it is how can i get passed it?

Can you go in as another user?

You dont have a "hint"?

Can you get in as administrator (safe boot)?

I think if you are in XP and you dont have the password ... you are up the creek with no GPS

I think id try the safe boot option first. Otherwise, it is reformat, reload, loose your will and your novel.

In the future, you migh want to consider at least two accounts for yourself - one as user and the other as administrator. Use the user for daily stuff and the administrator when you have to and for emergencies. That way, your private stuff will be password protected and if you forget your password, you can go in as unprotected (no password) administrator and fix it.

Let me know if this helps

Administrative password by pass

Operating system, please? Is this your laptop? Did you set it up? You need to be an administrator to install software. If you set it up you should have created an admin password or left it blank. Try logging in as administrator without a password and then go into user accounts to change your login to have administrator rights.
