I have a line on one side of my screen....like a blue streak about 14 inches long from the top and about 1/4 - 1/2 inch wide. Does anyubody know what this is. Are the pixels damaged. How do you fix?
yes, I have the same line but it looks more green like. Its on the left side of my screen and goes half way down. A friend had the same problem with his 55" last year and they had to replace the complete guts of the plasma. It is not a LCD Panel. This is Plasma TV. It is a PDP Panel. Not much you can do. To replace SCREEN it is not economical to repair. Just let your kids play video games on it. I know it is an expencive TV. Thats what I did with my. I have the same 1 pixel line on the left side from top to the half screen. My kids don't care.

It sounds like the actual LCD is damaged, i've seen some cases where it was a damaged cable going to the LCD screen but if the cable looks ok then it is probably the lcd screen.

this thing happened in my laptop also i got green screen fully then when i hit it behind the screen it was gone but comes many times then again i would hit later on the screen was completly lost then had to replace the screen yous is a starting period so go to a nearby computer service and fix the screen
if your RECEIVED faxes look good, then leroyal is dead on. you will need a new CIS which stands for contact image sensor. if you have an authorized brother service center nearby, they may be able to do it for 100 to 150.00, depending on their pricing of course. if rec'd faxes are bad also, pull drum out and make sure the blue tab on top of drum is all the way to the right side, although that usually only leaves about a 1/2" black band.
My Hitachi TV Flat screen 42 EDT 4 1A has a one inch black line from the top to the bottom of the
screen on the left side. What or how do I fix it. I did blow it out with a air compressor as suggested by a local repairman.
Hi ,Sorry, this is not a solution. I have a question about your line. Is it transparent? (can you see through if the picture is bright)Does it remain there all the time if you change inputs? My LG 42" just had a blue transparent line appear on the right side of screen. Tried a few trouble shooting things w/ no change. About 1 hour later it went away. Did you find a solution and what was it?
