SOURCE: I bought a coby tablet

It might be the version of the Android on it. If you use Android 2.1, then you have to upgrade it to Android 2.2, then you will be able to play Flashcontent.
But bad news is, that you have to wait, until Coby releases an Android 2.2 upgrade for Kyros (http://www.androidtablets.net/forum/coby-tablets/3663-coby-kyros-7015-tablet-questions.html), because if you upgrade your tablet PC from elsewhere, then it might be malfunctioning.

SOURCE: Ii have the Coby 7005

Hi, I am Steve, lets help solve your issue.
I am afraid the information you have been given is completely wrong. There is not such thing as plug and play in the android world. Android was initially developed for use on embedded devices and as such had no need to recognise external devices automatically. Version 2.1 (as installed on your device) is now quite old and cannot support it. Even the new version (froyo -2.2) does not support it.

Your device does come with a built in wireless adaptor, so you don't need a USB wireless adaptor.

SOURCE: my apps libaray on my

Sounds like you need to reset AppsLib.
This fix will wipe all your data, so be sure to back everything up.
Go to Settings.
In settings go to Go to "Privacy".
Select Factory Reset.
Select Reset Device.
-----------------

Connect the unit to the computer using the USB cable and "Select" Erase Everything" The following will occur: ā€¢ The screen will display COBY ā€¢ The screen will display Android ā€¢ The unit will reboot to the Menu screen

Step 6- The unit will prompt to calibrate. Hold stylus on the center of the target. Repeat as the target moves around on the screen. ****DO NOT *** press Return or Home". The unit will display "calibrate success" and will return to the main /home menu automatically. If for any reason the unit went into standby mode and the touch screen does not respond, reset the unit using a pin.
----------------------------

After the Factory Data Reset, do not launch the Applibs yet until: 1- You have configured your Wi-Fi 2- Check/enable "Unknown Sources"- Go to Settings, Application Setting. Done.

You can now open appslib.

SOURCE: my android tablet is "frozen". Will turn on but

has anything been deleted from it when it has been plugged into a computer or has anything been deleted from the device itself from its root directory? if not and its gone like that by itself, it could be corrupted software or a missing root file which is usually bad at first, now what i know about some tablets is if it wont work theres a recovery file usually internally but this is in some tablets only that ive read about, i also have one but havent needed to try to restore it and it can be done from an engineering mode, this is possable by pressing the power button and another button like the home button at the same time once the unit is off untill it turns back on with options, but as for some models im not sure of but i will have to look this up at some stage as i am working on tablets at this time so unless you know what you are doing i wouldnt attempt it, once i have gotten through some tablets ill be able to give a better resolution on this subject with others. the advice ive given wont work for all as pressing power and home will start different options up on different tablets and versions.

Coby mid8065

1. Turnn completly off the tablet.
2. With the tablet turned off, holding the return button while turning on the tablet-pressing power button. Keep holding the return button until you see the Hard Factory reset screen.
3. Confirm the hard reset procedure. Once done, simply wait until process has finished-the tablet will restart. This process can take up to 30 minutes, so it's very important that the battery of the tablet is completly charged before attempting the hard reset. If you can connect it to the charger while resetting, even better.

Coby kyros mid 7022 is stuck on lock scteen, how do I get around this? Also goes into hibernate for seemingly no reason. Very new android user, no clue what I'm doing

Here is the instruction on how to do the factory data reset when a customer locks the system and lost his security password/pattern. This instruction works for MID7016 and MID7022. An end user must follow each step precisely. Otherwise, he/she will not access to the system menu mode.

  • Connect the AC power adapter.
  • Turn on the system.
  • Press and hold the power button until the popup window of "Device options" appears on the screen.
  • Select the "Power off" option from the popup window. You will see another popup window of "Power off".
  • Select the "OK" option. The unit will turn off.
  • While holding down the "BACK" button, press and hold the "POWER" button until Coby logo appears on the screen.
  • Release both buttons once you see Coby logo on the screen and wait for a while. The Coby logo screen will change to Android logo.
  • Wait about 15 seconds after you see Android logo. (Do not press any button while waiting. If you do, you will not be able to access to the system menu.)
  • Press the "BACK" button once. The system menu screen will appear on the screen.
  • Choose the "wipe data/factory reset" by using the "HOME" and "MENU" buttons. (The "MENU" button will allow you to browse down through the option list, while the "HOME" button will allow you to browse up through the list.)
  • Press the "BACK" button once you select the "wipe data/factory reset" option. The confirmation message will appear on the screen with YES or NO option.
  • Choose the "Yes - delete all user data" option by using the "HOME" and "MENU" buttons.
  • Press the "BACK" button once the "Yes - delete all user data" option is selected. It will perform the factory data reset. Wait until it is done. Once it is done, the main system menu will appear on the screen again, and the "reboot system now" option will be selected as a default. If not, you will need to select the "reboot system now" option from the list.
  • Press the "BACK" button to reboot the system. The system will reboot with the initial factory data setting. All user data will be lost.

Give the reboot at least 5 minutes. Do not assume the unit has frozen
