I need to change the fuse the mower will not start. I have narrowed it down to the fuse
Most of the times the fuses on cub cadets are located under the engine cowling close to where the steering shaft runs through the frame near the battery. Follow the wiring harness from behind the ignition switch and it should lead you to the fuses. There are no very many fuses to check on your mower. Good luck and I hope this helps.

I would srart by removing the negitive battery cable then the positive and clean posts and terminal ends with wire brush or sandpaper. I would then go through and one by one clean each cable you can get to on the starter and solenoid and any grounds to frame. Clean one at a time and replace as you go.If you have had the same battery for more than two years I would replace it to. A good battery will cost you about $40.00
Check gear on starter to see if teeth are badly worn. If so most of the gears can be replaced without replacing the starter. Make sure you have a good clean plug with the proper gap, clean fuel and air filter and vent hole in gas cap.Hope this helps you and thanks.
check the battery connections and also the earth cable if no luck their then check the fuses with a test light or similar and look for a feed to the fuses as the connections at the back of the fuses could be corroded

see if the rod fell off there is a safety switch on the clutch/brake pedals if the rod doesn't move all the way the switch will not make the connection
