I would not use a slow cooker liner in an "instant pot." An" instant pot" is a type of pressure cooker which is electric. A "crock pot" (slow cooker) is not a pressure cooker. Note: The term "crock pot" is a trademark of Rival slow cookers. The Instant Pot name is trademarked by Instant Brands Inc.
You may be able to find a replacement liner for your model of electric pressure cooker.
If your electric pressure cooker is a brand name other than Instant Pot, you will need to search for a liner for the specific make and model of your electric pressure cooker.
The problem is a Signal Switch Malfunction. It has to do with the power switch and the pressure switch from what I have been able to find out. Mine doesn't have a pressure problem it just goes to E4 once you set the time. I gave the switch a good smack and it has been working for a while. This is the second time and this worked both times now. I am sure the switch will have to be replaced at some time. From what I have seen this is a very common problem. There is one way to fix this problem, albeit not the best. I was able to bypass the E4 error by completely bypassing the electronics and wiring the heater coil to get power whenever the pressure cooker is plugged in. It was a very simple job, anyone with any electrical experience can do this. The only problem is that it is a safety concern as there is no way for the heater to turn off even if pressure is getting to be way too high. There may be a pressure relief valve in the lid but the heater coil won't shut off, so don't leave it unattended! But at least this way to you can still pressure cook. Jamie, make sure the gasket is in the right position. There are many readers who use the WP Electric pressure cooker on these forums, so come here with any extra questions!

Dawn, We're you able to find the Gasket you were looking for? I have the same 8 qt. manual pressure cooker, hard anodized, #Y22-4(8)-00 and am in need of a new gasket. Can you please advise?
Your gasket is no good and needs to be repaired. The water is supposed to be pressurized as high heat steam and when pressure is excessive the valve does its thing to lower to acceptable levels.
Replacement parts for the Wolfgang Puck pressure cookers are difficult to find and I just received an e-mail back from an earlier inquiry to the the company advising that parts are available here:
Not sure if your model is the BPCR0175 but gaskets are available on-line for the models shown; you may want to confirm compatibilty with their Customer Service at 1-800-275-8273 or make an inquiry via their webform:
I have my manual. There's not much to it, but I could copy it and send it if you could provide me a replacement gasket for the inside of the lid. It's a little white donut shaped gasket...
It's on the left hand side under the panini maker...the picture is of the 7.5 size but under that picture it does have a drop down menu that says model # and that 5 qt Pressure Cooker with that Model # is there...
