Make sure you have the dial set on 'P' not green suare, then when you go to Clear settings, go up to the clear all cameras ettings, and that will res\et camera for you. Failing that, just turn the delay timmer off with the circular button 2nd from top, LHS of the LCD.
The buffer clears automatically, as the pix get written to the memory card. If you get r07 the next time you take a pic, then the buffer has cleared from the previous pic.
There is a problem only if you get to r00 and it stays there.
To reset factory defaults. Turn the dial to P (program). Turn on the camera. Hit the menu key. You will now see the extended menus. (if you don't turn to P you only get basic menu). Go to the last tab which is the second tools menu. Look down the menu and you'll see a "clear settings." Select this and you have two choices "clear all camera settings" and "clear all custom functions." Select "clear all camera settings." The "clear all custom functions" only applies if you've created custom functions which few people do. I hope this helps.
hit the menu button, hit jump until you get to the last tab..."clear settings" and either hit clear all custom functions or clear all camera settings. Your dial might have to be on "P" for the last menu option to come up.
I have the same problem, and I can't get the software or camera to install on my computer either. I plan on taking my sons spidey ****, I mean cam, back to the store and get him something that costs more so it might work better. My suggestion is you might want to do the same as I have been trying to find help for this for a month and all have said they are cheap and pictures are blurry or bad and the camera does not work.
