Ryobi homepage I am looking for ryobi rm-1437 repair manual beacuse the blade is not spinning but the motor is turning. I see a nylon fitting around the shaft and am woundering is this is the cause of the problem as it rotates freely? But the balde is not spinning! The bolt is secure to the shaft. Where would I find an operators/repair manual for the Ryobi RM-1437 Lawn mower?

Yes. There should be a shear pin through the shaft. Disassemble the mechanism and replace the pin. It's designed to protect the shaft from damage.

SOURCE: Cant remove blade on lawn mower

Follow directions. See if this works;

Blade Maintenance
 Warning! Switch off, remove the isolator
key, battery and grassbox before adjusting
or cleaning.
 Always wear gardening gloves when handling
or working near the sharp blades.
Turn the machine on its right side and inspect
the blade; if blunt or damaged, replace.
Use the following procedure to remove and replace
the blade:
Insert a screwdriver into hole 26 to lock the
drive. Hold the blade 30 using gardening gloves
(not provided) and use a spanner (not provided)
to remove the blade bolt 29, blade washer 28
and blade 30.
Fit the blade 30, blade washer 28 and the blade
bolt 29. Ensure that the blade is the correct way
up (so that this symbol can be seen located
as in figure I) and tighten the bolt 29 firmly.
Ensure the screwdriver is removed before attempting
to turn the machine on.

If this procedure does not work then try the following;

It is not uncommon for the blade bolt to become seized onto the shaft due to all the gunk and moisture on the underside of the deck. Try to soak the bolt several times over with penetrating oil ( WD 40, PB Blaster, etc). Spray the bolt head, the top of the blade where it contacts the shaft, etc. Do this several times and let the penetrating oil soak in. Hit the bolt head gently several times with a hammer to loosen up the corrosion. Then try to remove the bolt per directions.
Hope this helps, if so Please rate, Thanks, and Good Luck!

SOURCE: i have a ryobi lawn mower with a 6.5 hp motor. it

I am working on one now. Customer said "it doesn't run". Ok. So, after oil/spark plug/air filter replacement...it didn't have any gas getting to the carb. Took off the bowl, and on this 2005 lawnmower, the inside of ALL of the carb was covered with a white/chalky film. Looked like tiny rust barnacles over ANY metal surface available. Silty white stuff in bowl. Blasted it all w/carb cleaner. Still couldn't get primer to work, but after I sprayed a bit o' starter in the cylinder, it started well & kept running. Until I let the bar down. Needs a new carb. Will see what the customer wants.

SOURCE: Hi, I have a Craftsman C935

There are two philips screws on top. I got them with a screw extractor as they were rusted. You won't be able to fasten the blade from the motor side though.

I need a new blade where in Cape Town South Africa can I buy one or what other options do I have

Most good Lawn mower suppliers can get you a new blade. You can also usually get them online. Have you tried contacting Ryobi directly to see if they can send you a replacement. What is wrong with the blade? A lot of mower blades can be re-sharpened to reduce the need to buy a replacement every time it goes blunt.

Ccib0010 plastic drive will not engage

The nylon coupling is either cracked or missing. A flat key extends from the motor shaft and locks into the extension like a paddle in order to move the blades. If you can not find the insert, this style of interlocking is common mechanical design. There are sometimes a spring clip the paddle interlocks with. The nylon insert locks into the blade rod mechanism. I suppose the nylon insert is designed as a replacement part rather than replace the entire blade extension

Od700c shredder: motor spinds, blades don't move

Inside the motor assembly there are a series of nylon cogs , a large one of which interacts with a metal one.  This is the most likely place you have one or two teeth missing from the large nylon cog that drives the shredder blades.
