I have removed and installed the new lamp many times, and still get the code for lamp cover not seated properly
I have the service manual and it shows two door switches Dr 1 is in the back of the set on rt bottom below the temp. sensor. Dr 2 is at the front panel where you open it to replace the lamp. If one of these switches are open, it would show a lamp problem. If you have a Muiltimeter and can get to the switches see if one of them is open. Hope this is helpful.

I too have replaced the lamp and the Tv won't turn on.(red lamp light blinks) I even put the old lamp (which was working) back in and it still won't turn on. Unplugged tv,plugged back in with no result. Old lamp was working. When plugged in it clicks once and goes to red blinking light. Is there some type of "Fail;Safe switch not working when enclosure is put back in. Yes I also put cover on. Any help appreciated .
