Burners will not ignite after cleaning the oven

This could be the problem if only one burner didn't lite:
Could be a liquid cleaner might have dripped down and clogged the holes the burner gas comes through. It should ignite when it dries out, if not then you may have to get the holes in the gas burner cleaned out. I use a toothpik.

If all burners fail to lite, there might be a safety cut-off of some kind in the stove.
Hope this helps.

I have a Frigidaire gas stovetop range that smells of gas only when the power plus burner is lit

I hope you haven't cracked the tubing to the burner. If the stove is a sealed burner model it could be that when you tried to open the top you could have cracked the tubing to the burner. I had this happen to a client just a few weeks ago. The damage was so bad they had to buy a new stove. You may be able to replace just the offending burner tube.

How do I lift the stove top to turn off pilot model # FGF366DCB?

there isn't a pilot in it,it has an electronic spark module in it.what problem are you having?when you turn it to lite it you'll hear a clicking sound, that's the sparking that lites the gas just like you're gas grill.if you want to remove the top you have to remove the two phillips screws out of each burner head, sometimes they don't come out and you have to drill them out,if the burner isn't shutting off the gas valve could be broke or the knob could be broke,if it's clicking just unplug it and you can lite the top burners with a match or bbq clicker to lite them until you get it fixed depending on what problem you are having.if the gas won't shut off by turning the knob you'll have to shut down the gas at the valve that feeds the stove.but like i said if you want to lift the top you have to remove all the screws in the burner heads.hope this helps you out.http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/part-model/Frigidaire-Parts/Range-Parts/Model-FGF366DCB/1428/0124002?pathTaken=&prst=0&shdMod=FGF366DCB go to this site and you can look up your machine.

My Viking oven will not lite, the igniter glows, but it will not lite. I have to turn on the 4 stove top burners and then it will lite. Also, when the oven reaches temperature and the therastat shuts it...

Hi,
That sounds like you have too high of gas pressure which keeps the oven gas valve from opening...turning on the burners lowers the gas pressure enough to allow the gas valve to open. this is a saftey feature on many gas valves.
To stop that you will need to install a gas pressure regulator which will hold back the gas pressure so the valve can open.

Here is a tip that I wrote about regulators and them failing on the low side, but it will give you and idea what I am talking about and what you need to install in the line to your range.

Changing stove from gas to lp do we need to open top of stove to do this?

Only if it is an open burner stove. Sealed burner stoves are converted without removing the top. Which do you have? Your owner's manual shows how to convert it. If you're missing the manual, tell us your stove make & exact model # and we'll see if it's available online to download. Douglas

I have a kenmore gas range with electric ignitors. My question is that my stove top doesnt ignite but lets gas by and I can use a lighter to lite them. However my oven doesn't do anything...no gas no...

Electric gas igniters sometimes get stuck in one position causing a clicking sound. The clicking sound that you hear is the electric arc that is pulsing from the igniter conductor (wire) to ground (the gas burner). It receives power from the electrical outlet that the stove is plugged into.
Residue from food and sometimes cleaning products may be preventing the igniter from producing a spark (Arc) to the base of the burner. This is a common problem that occurs when the stove has been cleaned or food is allowed to build up. Make sure that the igniter and the burner base are clean and dry. This will help with proper operation. Oven cleaner and a small tooth brush may be used to accomplish this. Another problem with ignition may occur if you have too little (touching) or too much space between the igniter and the base of the burner; it will prevent the burner from igniting. You should only have a little more space than the thickness of a nickel between the burner base and the igniter. A good “blue” arc from the igniter to the burner base is optimal. If this doesn’t work, you may need to replace the electric igniter module. Good luck.
