Connect your ac power cord and turn the unit back on. Allow it to fully boot to Windows and reconnect your external battery, then perform an oderly shutdown. Some manufacturers have special software that condition the external batteries to like new condition, you may have to download this and run it on your laptop.

My Asus X553M laptop is not booting up. Any ideas how to fix this problem?

Temitope, Hard reset. Open computer, remove battery, hold power button down (((1 minute))), reinsert battery, reassemble laptop, push/hold power button a couple seconds.
2nd fix, try to boot laptop without hdd.(hard drive). Remove the hdd, then turn on the laptop.. then it can get into the bios.. reset the bios to the default setting, turn off the laptop, and then turn it on again with hdd reinstalled. This seems to be what works in the forums with this issue found in Asus laptops. Check the attached links, instruction and guides, Good luck

When booting asking bios password

We recently ran into this problem with a Panasonic Toughbook CF-47. The laptop was set to boot from C: but the NT4 OS was missing kernel files, effectively rendering the computer useless. The way we eventually got around the problem was to unplug the hard disk. This forced it to boot from the A: drive, then ran KILLCMOS (a google search will find several sites that have this program). Once KILLCMOS was run, the bios defaulted to A: as the boot drive and the password was gone. Hope this helps.

I hadn't charged my Sony Vaio model PCG-61611L for a couple days. Then when I finally plugged it in to charge, it won't turn on. I even left it plugged in for a few days and still nothing. It has...

Try A Hard Reset

Remove the battery and charger/ac adapter/power cord from your Sony Vaio laptop, press and hold the power button for 20 seconds to discharge any residual current inside the laptop.

This clears your RAM and is like a hardware reset.

Replace the battery and charger/ac adapter/power cord
and turn your laptop on.

If that does't work try removing ram and reinstall. Sometime this works with these laptops.

My computer won't turn on i can get to the internet because it has an internet button but the main part of the computer won't turn on

Hello.

The most common reasons for power issues are the battery, power jack and power adapter/cord.

Power off and remove the battery. If the laptop powers on with just the adapter connected, your battery is faulty.

If you move/wiggle the power adapter at the point where it connects to the laptop, and the power goes off and on, the power jack is the problem.

The power jack is inside the laptop and either needs soldering or replacement. If a power jack problem, it should be addressed by someone knowledgeable.

If no change, the power adapter is probably faulty and needs replacement.

Hope this helps.

Hi.

Take out the AC power jack and then remove the laptop battery. Plug AC power back in and see if the laptop will turn on. If it turns on let it boot the operating system and then shut down as normal, remove the power cord and reinsert the battery and again see if it will switch on. If it does then there has been a glitch with the battery. If it doesn't then there is a problem with the battery.

If the laptop won't switch on either with or without the battery then there is a possibility that the motherboard has developed a problem.

Good luck.
