Check if the counter balance weight is still attached. Sounds like a balance problem.

bigmur, you need the snubber kit for this washer. There was a service flash out on this model, SF-26-756. The kit includes the snubber and 6 new springs. Condition was, excessive vibration during spin, basket leans to one side. Kit number, 12002357. Check with your retailer...this repair may be covered. Catriver..post back

SOURCE: drum off balance

It's either a bad suspension spring or you have a crack in the tub support.

SOURCE: Loud banging noise durning washing machine spin cycles.

First plug off the wall. Open the machine from behind to examine if any shock-absorbers(known as dampers) or springs have come off or broken. Your dealer could help with spares. But you could do the job yourself.

HI, I HAVE A LG 8.2 FUZZY LOGIC TURBO DRUM THAT DOES NOT SPIN PROPERLY THE CLOTHES STILL HAVE WATER. IT IS LIKE THE SPINNING DRUM HAS SLOWED DOWN.

2 possibilities here:
Faulty water sensor. The water sensor's job is to sense the weight and how much water has to be spinned out. If you have a full load in the machine and the drum spins like the it had an arguement with the rest of the machine, then the water sensor is the culprit.
Or.
The belt pulling the spinner drum is stretched and could be slipping instead of gripping(pardon the rhym) :)
Replace belt

I have an Lg turbo drum machine it has filled up and done the wsh but then gone ue overloaded but i have removed all the clothes and it still wont empty the water or spin

"UE" Imbalance error. Cause : The load is to small, the appliance is tilted, laundry is gathered to one side, non distributed things are put into the drum. Move the washing around inside the washing machine to create a more even distribution of weightif you have any further questions message me back and please remember to rank how this opinion has helped it allows me to help others in similar situations in the future Thanks again Rick

Drum hitting sides of machine in spinning cycle (unbalance)

It sounds like you may have to many clothes in it. Try to remove some or reposition them. Sometimes the clothes get pushed to one side of the drum during the spin cycle and all of the weight to one side is making it off balanced.

During spin, machine moves!

Hi,

Did you remove the transport rods from the back of the unit? this will cause the unit to jump around a lot when it goes into the spin cycle. Also make sure the feet are all level and the unit doesn't rock from side to side.

Not spinning..although drum turning and draining as normal.. Thanks

Could be a imbalance with the load inside the machine if there is too much or too little clothes in. Had this the other week on a machine when owner had only put a couple of items in, when the items were wet the were heavy on one side of the drum and the load sensors stopped the machine from spinning up. Remove clothes from machine and try empty, if it works properly either throw some more stuff in to help even the weight or remove some stuff if overloaded.

During the spin cycle, it sounds like a helicopter. So noisy that you have to leave the room and close the laundry room door.

Hi,
This is difficult to work out as there are so many different symptoms. Here are my thoughts -

Dust from carbon rushes is black. Grey dust usually comes from a loose concrete weight. Loose tub weights are rare on this model but they cause a loud knocking noise which is often worse when the washing machine is revving up to spin and dying down from a spin (suspension problems are also often worse at this stage too). It's not normally a metallic sound though.

If the noise is coming from the motor banging against the sides of the machine then it will make the machine move when it happens. The whole machine may jump or move to one side. The motor often thumps the side of the washing machine on Hotpoint washers where the motor is fitted at the top of the tub and over to the right hand side. This is a daft place to fit a motor and only Hotpoint / Credo did it. I think they've eventually stopped now though.

It is normal to be able to push the drum to the side so that the motor hits the casing. If the suspension has gone, the tub should be twisted and leaning to one side more than the other or it just could be very loose. It's difficult to check suspension if you don't know how it should feel.

If the noise is coming from the inner drum hitting the heating element or throwing an object like a £1 coin (trapped between the inner drum and the outer tub) around, then the washing machine will be stable but the noise would still be a horrible metallic knocking. This is one because I suspect.

If the carbon brush is charred (as in these Hotpoint & Credo carbon brush pictures) then it's definitely faulty and needs replacing. This could cause the machine to bang about violently on spin but it normally wouldn't.

As for the clothes being covered in black marks. (Washing (laundry) is still dirty or has marks on it (marks on clothes) ). This sounds potentially ominous as it could be that the inner drum is catching on the inside of the outer tub which is often covered in gunge. As clothes are pushed through the holes in the drum on spin, this could cause them to scrape on the inner tub and pick up greasy marks. Check for play in the drum by lifting it up and down from the front. It should only lift up a mm or so. Then turn the drum so that one of the drum paddles is at the bottom. Pull the drum toward you at the point of the drum paddle. It shouldn't have any play in it. Turn the drum round and test the other two as well. If the drum spider and shaft has a crack in it then one or more of the arms will allow excess play when you pull the drum at the paddle points.

Carbon dust from a motor could never get onto clothes.
