Set-up (Programming) procedure is too much to type in here, and is not practical and it will differ brand-to-brand remote controls. If you wish to get more; check the site linked here. It has set-up code list & set-up procedure to many popular brand remote controls. Pull up older posts.

Our remote controller for our u command wall e stopped working not long after we got it home, is there any chance of fixing it?

The cost would be prohibitive and then the parts would be nearly impossible to obtain for a throw away product of this nature, So the answer is no it is not repairable.

Wall-e U Command Remote Control not working....we just took it out of the box and the remote does nothing. You can press a button on Wall-e and he will perform minimal functions, such as moving forward,...

The remote control does not come with batteries in it, so make sure you have batteries first. The remote works off infra red, like your tv remote, so you have to be pointing the remote at WALL-E for it to work.
