hello! i need help with this, i have the same amp Kenwood KRF-V5050D it seems that it had a short circuit on the speaker terminals, close to the 2 12v relays wich are close to each other and the 2 transistors kia 7812 and kia 7912 was turned black, i have replaced them, and i have disconnect the 2 big IC but the amp still does go in the protection mode, but when i disconnect the 2 transistors kia 7812 and kia 7912 the amp does stay on. i have checked almost everything and it seemed to be good. i have checked every transistor and replaced some capacitors, but i have not replaced the 4 big capacitors, with all the 0.22j resistors and all the terminal relays and the 2 big ic disconnected the amp still goes on protection mode. i had this amp returned from ebay and the buyer is waiting for it to be repaired, i would aprecciate any help.

If you have never replaced the remote's battery, it may be time. The 'coin' type batteries do live long but not forever and mfr.s typically suggest that the lithium cells have a 'shelf life' (unused) of more than five years.
I don't know the construction of your remote so don't know if the battery is user-replaceable or not and if not, the dealers usually take advantage of customers when they can. The batteries alone are cheap costing a few dollars at worst.
If you have the 2nd remote stashed somewhere, you might try it if it has not been in use. Even then, the battery may quickly be depleted in the spare too.

I think you have damaged the copters electronics when you crashed it.

You might have a cellphone with camera option. Set the cellphone co cemera mode, and place the remote control at about 1 feet away from its camera lens, and press each button on your remote control. Remote control emits infrared rys as we press each button, but can't be detected by human eye. Electronic cameras can detect it. If there is any infrared ray emission from your remote control you will see its image on the camera screen for each button press to your remote control. If there is image and still the Tv doesn't respond to it, The TVs' infrared snsor inside has damaged and should be replaced. If there isn't any image; check the battery contacts of the remote battery compartment first. Clean these contacts by using a piece of corborandum paper or with the tip of a razor blade. Improper battery contacts, due to rust and dust to these contacts will prevent the battery supply voltage to enter into the remote contro.
Still it doesn't work at all, the remote control is damged and should be replaced. Contact the nearest Vizio Authorised Service Cente fro original remote control. OK.
