SOURCE: Lines across screen breaking picture into 4 sections

Based on reported problems with Samsung LCD tvs, It is probably one of three problems:
Separation of layers of the LCD panel;
A defective LVDS cable connection;
A defective T-Con circuit board.
If light hand pressure on the affected area on the LCD panel changes the problem, its the defective panel. If not, manipulating the LVDS cable will reveal the cable defect. If not, coolant spray applied to the T-Con circuit board should reveal if it is defective by temporarily alleviating the problem. Dont remove the back cover if you dont know how to protect yourself from electrical shock hazards. There can be more than 1000 volts in the backlight inverter area.

SOURCE: 46 inch Sony flat panel lcd has vertical red and

If the screen works for a short while and then completely fails once the TV warms up you have a problem with the main unit video board or the LCD control logic board. Most often if the picture cuts out but audio continues to work the logic board is over heating and should be replaced. However if the picture cuts out and audio shuts off as well then its your video input board.

So I have a 50 Lg ( LG 50LN5700). There is still a picture however about every 3 seconds it goes from regular to blurry and repeats. There seem to be about 3 black lines across the top horizontally about 3...

To clarify, are the 3 black lines horizontal (left to right across entire width of screen)? or are the 3 black lines vertical (top to bottom across entire height of screen)?

Horizontal lines are almost always the result of a failed panel, and no board replacement will fix the issue.

Vertical lines such as you have described (only 3) are probably also a bad panel. If the black lines were evenly spaced in a repeating pattern, it could be a mainboard or TCONN board.

Has this panel been cracked? or perhaps cleaned recently with too much water or cleaning solvent that has gotten the screen wet?

You may have to sell the TV for parts.

Lines down screen

We have a Samsung LE32A457, whilst we were watching T.V tonight the top halve of the screen suddenly appeared with green lines halfway down the screen and that half of the picture was unwatchable, T.V is 2 years old. We have removed all scart leads but this did not help and the problem still exists, when shutting down a white horizontal line across the centre of the screen appears from this line upwards the picture is faulty. Any help or advice would be grateful.

Horizontal lines across TV screen, picture jumps. Unable to adjust tracking [ supposedly automatic]. Could this be the heads slowly dying?

Yes or maybe, or just very dirty.. Get yourself a FABRIC cleaning tape & fluid & try a clean. If still no good.. time for a new one.. head replacement, is probably uneconomic.

SAmsung has two white lines across screen with no picture

If the 2 white lines are in the centre of the screen it sounds like you have a fault called 'field collapse' . The 'x' or horizontal circuit on the tv deflects the beam across the screen which in your case is ok because the line runs across the screen ok. The 'y' or field circuit on the tv deflects the beam down the screen. Without a circuit diagram for your tv i cannot point to individual components.

Picture looks like it is jumping

Sounds like a vertical sync issue on the chassis board. However you also mentioned the picture moves left to right or vice versa which would suggest a horizontal sync issue. Either issue is not repairable by the DIY. Sync issues must be isolated using test equipment usually found in repair shops. My suggestion push it down a hill and enjoy the show then go buy that flat screen you almost purchased last week.
