From what you have described your Electrolux dishwasher is stuck on loc and delay start continues to operate. I would suggest performing a reset on your dishwasher and you can do that by disconnecting power from it for at least ten minutes. If you continue to experience issues with your dishwasher can you respond back with your model number? You can locate the serial tag (which lists your model number) on the inside left hand wall. With that information I will be happy to help you further. -Matt

I think your dishwasher is in delay start mode. Some dishwashers can be set to start at a later time say for instance while everyone is sleeping. See if your control panel has a button that says delay start. If YES--just keep pressing it until it clears. Some go as high as 12H which is a 12 hr delay.

Getting it out of child lock can be difficult but make sure you watch the light on the front panel it will go right back to lock if your not careful.I had to try several times at first I thought it would need a doctor.. but with patience it should work and unlock with the 4 second hold.. power down does not reset unless you wait 30 minutes or longer.. hope this helps

Wash Cycle Options

Delay Start (model dependent):

This option allows you to delay the start time of your dishwasher up

to 19 hours.

Sanitize:

The Sanitize feature is available only in the Heavy, Auto, Normal and Half Load cycles. Press the

"Sanitize Option" button to activate the Sanitation features during these cycles. The technical sanitation

measures may also improve the drying results. The sanitize LED or The "Water Pipe" symbol will light when sanitation

requirements are met.

Note: The dishwasher automatically defaults to Auto Wash when turned off and back on. If you used the sanitize option
in your last cycle, the dishwasher will default to Auto Wash with the Sanitize option selected when you turn it on.

To achieve proper drying, always use a liquid rinse aid, even if your detergent contains a rinse aid or

drying additive.

Note: The dishwasher indicates low rinse aid by turning on the Refill Rinse Aid indicator LED (for units without

a display) or The "Spray Looking" symbol (for units with a display).

If this light is on, you need to refill the rinse aid dispenser

I got the idea that the "squiggly arrow" has something to do with the sanitize feature also. If you post your model number "on the inside right hand side of your dishwasher door" I'll go get your manual and post the link here. Hope this helps so far! :)

Manufactured by Whirlpool, Kenmore dishwashers have an electronic control panel that must be unlocked in order to set or make changes to your dishwashing cycle. If an error light is blinking on your dishwasher's control panel, the panel must be reset before you can gain access. Blinking lights on your dishwasher control panel may signal a mechanical problem that needs to be repaired. If the lights continue to blink after you've reset the control panel, contact Sears to service your Kenmore dishwasher or consider troubleshooting the appliance yourself.
1Press and hold the "Heated Dry" button on your Kenmore dishwasher for four seconds to unlock the dishwasher control panel.
2 Press the "Heated Dry," "Normal Wash," "Heated Dry" and "Normal Wash" buttons one after the other, in fairly quick succession.
3 Wait for the dishwasher to run a short diagnostic test.
4 Press the "Cancel/Drain" button at the end of the diagnostic test cycle. This should reset the control panel on your Kenmore dishwasher.

It is possible the button contact has moisture or some contaminent. Best to open the control panel and check under the button. Take photos as you go along to make sure it all fits together. You can check the part locations in this diagram.

I am having the same problem after replacing the control panel and the circuit board.

wanna give the model number if possible, sounds like your're having a problem with the display board malfunctioning, theres a kit available for the fix need to know the model though, any chance this is under 1yr old??
