How do i change the rear differential oil on my 2011 Ford Ranger

remove the rear cover all the bolts except the top 1 just loosen that 1. Put a bucket under the rear diff and open the diff cover and drain out the fluid. clean and reseal the diff. remove the plug on the front of the diff and fill with the correct diff fluid until it is filled up to the hole and replace the plug, clean up and check for leaks. No leake = job is complete.

1992 f800 460 fuel injected startes up 52 psi at tank 32 at rail stalls and misses when on acelarator

Inspect the fuel filter, remove it, dump the fuel that is inside of it onto a white paper towel to check for dirt and then see how easy it is to blow through it with your breath. It should blow through it pretty easy. Also try a different map sensor.......my .02 cents worth....Mike

Speedometer not working

Make sure the differential and auto box are not short of fluids. Many ABS systems take a sensor reading on the differential. If there is evidence that the pinion oil seal has been leaking (diff wet with oil and permanent oil drip at bottom) then it is very likely that the diff is in need of replenishment. The heavy shifts are probably unrelated and are due to low transmission fluid: should be able to refill via the gear fluid dip stick tube

What oil would i use in my 1992 Legacy Subaru? It is an AWD

cold climate 5W-30W, hot-moderate climate or long commutes at high speeds 10W-30W, these engines are designed for light oils,(very tight clearances) heavy oil's can starve the main and rod bearings of start up lubrication..

2003 rear differential

I am a Ford tech and the diff doesn't need to be serviced (new lube) unless it is torn down or it has a leak, however it is my opinion that under heavy usage such as towing it should be serviced at around 60,000.
