Inter-tel Access Help! We have an Inter-Tel Axxess System.  We are a small company with only about 10 phones.  The power went out in the building, the battery was dead in the system box, so we lost our database.  After some time we restored out database, did a system wide reset, but the outgoing lines (over a T-1) are all lit up.  When you pick up the main phone it says the "BCI 4027 is unplugged."  The VM computer shows an error in loading...any thoughts

You definitely need to have a local phone installation company come in and help you with this. Axxess system setup and programming is extremely complicated for someone that has not worked with it and it requires specific software to make program changes. If you know the company that installed (or services) the system you should call them.

Video Telconferencing drops at various times

If you changed providers I bet they forgot to provide disconnect signal on your lines.

This signal is sent to your system from the provider when a calling party hangs up and is transferred to VM.

A good tech with his phone should be able to see this while on monitor. You will need a system tech to verify this. Most likely it's the provider.

Typically between 450 and 900 ms. The higher the better.

Intercom pages coming through phone speakers HELP!

Try 325. Not sure if your system admin necessarily wants this feature turned off though. In my case we don't have an overhead speaker for dedicated paging so we programmed all handsets to page through the phone speakers. Your system admin probably has your phone in a page zone if the 325 shortcut works so you might want to ask before your turn it off.

Possible loose connection in the telcom room or room jack. Try re-punching all the connections that relate to that phone and test again. No special cables needed for exec. phone, just a single pair as any other.

I have an Axxess by Inter-Tel phone system and I can not access the system administrator mail box # to get into the system.

This is set up in the phone system programming as to what the mailbox is and the password. If you are not able to get in then you will need to call a technician.

Inter-Tel Axxess uses programming software specific to the version of software in the phone system. So, you need to know what software the system uses. If you do not already have the programming software... it's a huge hassle. The software is only available to Inter-Tel distributors.

Inter-Tel Axxess holding.

In System Timers there is a Hold timer and an Alternate Hold timer. The max that you can extend it to is 255 seconds. Please be advised that this is a system wide timer. If you are the only one that wants this then you should change your keyset to have the alternate hold timer and then extend it to 255. If you want this system wide then you should change the Hold timer and you should be good to go.
