Decide if you want to watch the television on your computer
or use the TV as a larger monitor. If you want to view the contents of
the TV on your laptop, you need a video card connected to to the
computer. These cards can either be inserted through the express PCI
card slot on the laptop, or via USB cable. Make sure the video tuner
card supports component video.
2
Connect the DVI-to-component cable into the DVI port if you
want to use the TV as a large monitor for your laptop. However, if you
have a VGA port, plug the VGA-to-component cable into the VGA port.
3
Plug the RGB component cables into the component side of the
DVI- or VGA-to-component cable. If you want to watch the TV on your
computer, insert the RGB cables into the TV video card.
4
Plug the other end of the RGB component cables into the TV.
If you are using the TV as a monitor, plug the cables into the
"Component In" ports. However, if you are sending the TV signal to the
computer, plug the cables into the "Component Out" port (the other end
of the DVI- or VGA-to-component cable that you connected to your
computer in Step 2).
5
Power on the TV. If you are using the TV as a computer
monitor, press the "Video" button until "Component Video" appears on the
screen. If you are watching TV on your computer, launch the television
viewing software that came with the TV tuner card. You can now see the
contents of the TV on your computer.
The easiest connection is converting to VGA and using a standard headphone port-to-audio in. Your video out from the laptop varies by model, which isn't included here.
This camera downloads video over a Firewire (DV, IEEE1394) connection. Some mini-DV cameras have a USB connection but it is usually used only for stills. This camera doesn't have a USB connection at all.
Suitable Firewire (DV) cables can easily be found on Amazon or eBay. You will need the kind with a small (four pin) connector at one end and a larger (six pin) connector at the other. However, while most PCs have a USB port, they seldom have a Firewire port. Macs often have a Firewire port but may not have USB. As most Windows PCs do not come with this interface, you might need to fit an add-on Firewire interface card. This will come with a driver for the card.
Interfaces1 x Display / video - VGA - 15 pin HD D-Sub (HD-15) , 1 x Network - Ethernet 10Base-T/100Base-TX - RJ-45 , 1 x Microphone - Input - Mini-phone 3.5 mm , 1 x Headphones - Output - Mini-phone stereo 3.5 mm , 3 x Hi-Speed USB - 4 pin USB Type A
The above interfaces are in your laptop. There is no S-cable or HDMI interface. If your TV have VGA port you can connect your TV to the VGA port in laptop. This will alow you to convert the TV as monitor.
There should be a S-video out port with most newer tvs support. You may have to go somewhere like Radioshack to get a s-video cable which plugs into the tv. then set your tv inouts to use the s-video port and play away!

*A VGA connector and cable are used to carry analog video signals plus display and graphics data. The VGA is a 15-pin connector commonly found on laptops and other devices. With this port you need a PC-to-TV Convertor to connect laptop to TV. You simply plug the VGA cable from the source into the convertor, and use an S-Video or RCA cable out to the TV. The converter is USB powered, so there’s no external power adapter to carry around, making this laptop to TV connection entirely portable.
you will need a seperate audio cable unless you are going to use your laptop's speakers
NOTE: Your VGA card must support TV out directly through VGA port function. Please consult with your VGA card's user manual for more information.
Cable adapter allows video output from your PC/laptop to any TV with S-Video or RCA video input.
Connectivity:
Connector HDDB15 15-pin (M x 1)
Connector S-Video mini din 4-pin (F x 1)
Connector RCA Composite (F x 1)
You can find several like this from 5 to 10 dollars , just search the phrase "VGA to RCA cable"
