Dial your number, when the AT&T 1719 answers and the announcement begins playing(if the unit's answer function is turned off, it will answer after 10 rings) dial your three digit security code(default is 500). If the announcement continues playing after entering the security code, press # to end the announcement or wait for the announcement to end and re-enter the security code. The answer machine will announce the number of messages then begin playback of the messages. I have included a link to the manual, remote operation of the AT&T 1719 answer machine is on page 8.
there should be a switch at the back of the machine turn it to the middle switich and dial your # from another phone and it will ask you to enter your code or change it and or retrive your messages.
The question is kind of odd. RETRIEVE meaning you once had it? Add like security to your lap top? I think your asking for how to access a router with security? Reset your router by pressing the reset button. This will remove the security. Connect to the router, access its menu, and add security again.
Most answering machines have a 'remote code' to access messages via remote. (from another phone line when you aren't at home.) Look for the manual or look on the bottom of the unit itself.
If you do not see a code for it. Or have the manual, find your model online and the manufacturer should have the user manual online for free. It should provide the code for remote access.
Typically, you call the phone, when the answering machine picks up, you would dial the security code and the answering machine will then start playing your messages.
On the back of your router there is a reset button, hold it down for 3o seconds or so, this will reset the router back to factory settings, the default user name and password would be admin, note that sometimes with the belkin you only need the user name and not the password. Usually you need admin/admin though.
The default IP address to access the router when its reset is 192.168.2.1
The default security code for accessing the answering system from another location is 1 2 3. You must use the handset to change the security code. With the phone OFF (not in TALK mode), follow these steps:
1. Press the FLASH/answerer/Call wait button to display ANSWERER REMOTE.
2. Press the *EXIT/TONE button.
3. Enter the new 3-digit security code.
4. Press the *EXIT/TONE button again. The unit announces the new code, pauses, beeps, and then announces the menu options again.
I presume you mean that you have forgotten the unlock code for your V3. If this is so then when it asks for the unlock code press menu ( - ) and it will ask you for your security code, the default is 000000 so if you haven't changed that then you should now be able to access your phone.
If i am 'barking up the wrong tree' then please explain more of the situation and I will try and help again
