Stinger is one of the top brands available for electronic insect control today. The manufacturers undergo rigorous scientific field testing before designing the product. The device provides wide coverage and is very effective for insect killing. Summer season is great for spending hours outside doing fun activities. But summer is also the season when you will be attacked by all sorts of flying insects making your life miserable.

Not sure which model of Stinger bug zapper you have. If you are using C batteries then it could be a portable racket zapper.

Please check model number and compare with list of manuals on this site.

If there are only two batteries then there are 4 ways in which these can go. You could try and see which one works.

Anybody know the wiring Diagram for a STINGER ZV500 Vac N zap bug zapper?

No, What problem are you experiencing? Because high voltage circuits operate generally on the same principles, (self starting oscillator, high frequency step-up transformer, rectifier and voltage trippler) etc.we may be able to help.

Should my 1.5 acre stinger bug zapper zap when I plug it up

Intuitively, I glean it zaps when you turn it on only if you are a bug. Zapping is caused by the bug encountering the zapper. Otherwise, it would zap you even if you were not a big bug, simply because you were in close proximity.

I have a flowtron bk-2125 bug zapper, looking at the troubleshooting, it said check for power on the grid, how do i do that. I changed bulb and it is not coming on, it said if i have power then the starter...

If you have no power from the grid then bug zapper is not problem. If bug zapper is a corded plug in application then unplug and plug into a plug in that you know works. Check your breaker panel for a tripped breaker and reset if necessary. Or try a different appliance by plugging something that you know is operational into the same plug. If it works, there is likely an internal problem in bug zapper.

How do I install two C batteries correctly into my Stinger hand held bug zapper ?

The flat end of the battery (with out the nipple) normally goes to the spring in any battery holder. There is normally a picture of the battery orientation in the plastic molding of the battery space (sometimes hard to see)

It should say on the back where the battery compartment is which way negatives and positives should go, but the one with the spring is negative :)

How to repair

Is the buglight still working? I simply take a blade of grass and place in between the wire cages to make electrical connection and verify transducer is not defective. If you don't get a spark quickly your transducer may be burned out as I cannot keep one working due to larger insect getting in unit and overloading the transducer.

Blackflag bug zapper does not kill bugs

We know that electronic mosquito zappers usually come exactly in the form of a badminton racket, and quite similarly have a net woven over its top circular frame; whereas the handle part consists of an electronic circuit and a battery pack integrated with the net assembly. The net structure is primarily made up of three layers of metal mesh and is rather a complicated assembly. The inner central layer is actually the "hot" mesh and is terminated as a high voltage source from the circuit enclosed in the lower handle area. The outer two layers are simply connected with the negative of the battery and constitute the ground for a return path to the central "hot" mesh line.
