That will depend what browser you are using.

In Internet Explorer you follow these steps
To make bigpond your homepage on an Internet Explorer, follow these steps:1. Open the Internet Explorer.2. Look for the 'Tools' button on the upper left or right hand side of the window and then click it.3. From the drop-down click Properties.4. On the screen, look for the section that say Homepage.5. Under that section, there'll be a white where you can type web address or website, go to that box and make sure there's nothing written in it.6. Type the web address or website for 'bigpond' (it may be bigpond.com, bigpond.net which you can verify with bigpond themselves or if you know it go ahead and type it).7. Click Ok.8. Re-open your Internet Explorer and 'bigpond' website should the first thing you there.*NOTE: If a pop-up from AVG asks you if you're really changing the website or web address, just say 'Yes' or 'Allow' to it.

By the way Bigpond webpage is now replace by Telstra Media. So you need to check which one you want to make a home page.

Where can I find old emails that may have gone to bigpond instead of gmail ad I used to have a bigpond logon about 2 years ago

It looks like Big Pond was bought out by Telstra. If you are using the same service provider, go to this page
BigPond Homepage Has Changed Telstra Media

Log into the webmail.

If you cannot remember your password, you can contact Telstra here Telstra Telstra ID Support and get them to reset your password. Unlike gmail, it should be easy for you to establish your identity because you are actually a customer and pay them for the service.

I wish to my bigpond email username but don't know how to set it up with the new Telstra system

contact telstra on line help section and say that you wish to connect to adapt your big pond account to T-mail
they will put you onto a technician that will help you do it
another way-- if you know how-- is to open up the e-mail page and in the top tool bar click onto the accounts tab
click on properties icon and that will open up a box with headings
general
servers
security
advanced
IMAP
click on servers
incoming server is IMAP( probably will be pop3 )so change it
incoming mail(IMAP) is-- imap.telstra.com ( mail .bigpond.com so change )
outgoing mail (SMPT) is smpt.telstra.com ( mail.bigpond.com so change )
incoming user name will be your username@bigpond,com
the password will be the password that telstra gave you when opening the bigpond account ( If you haven't written it down then you will have to call telstra to get a new password -- you cannot make it up as it has to come from telstra --
click remember password
click on log on using clear text authentication
outgoing server tick server requires authentication
click apply
next step --click on the advanced tab
outgoing mail (SMPT) make it 465
tick server requires secure connection
incoming mail (IMAP) make it 993
again tick requires secure connection
for server time outs I have mine set in the middle
click apply
go back to the e-mail page and wait for the settings to be recorded in telstra servers
you will most likely get a new inbox heading --T-mail with your user name
what has happened here is that you are rerouting bigpond servers through telstra servers

if that doesnt work then it is back to calling telstra help -technicians to talk you through it all
happy tearing hair out day but you could be lucky and get it first try

How do I get the internet to work(bigpond)

Hi Amanda
Go to this Telstra page and follow the instructions.

Help and Support

TELSTRA: How do I set up mobile internet on my mobile?

But note that Bigpond ties its SIM cards to the specific IMEI of a phone or modem.

A Bigpond SIM will only function in a device with its IMEI loaded into the Bigpond system.

Telstra can easily change it to a nominated phone or modem but you'll need to get a rep to do it.

Bigpond Email Customer Service Call 1-805-225-6690 We are 24 Hour Available Call Now for Help..

Telstra is an Australian telecommunications company that offers email and Webmail services through its BigPond brand.
Webmail is a convenient way of accessing email from anywhere in the world over the Internet. You can access your Webmail account on any computer.
Telstra has experienced some issues with its BigPond email service that also has impacted its Webmail users.
Users have lost access to their email accounts and have been shut out of them.
Telstra Webmail users experienced some of these issues in September 2010.
Email Delays

Users of BigPond experienced delays in receiving and sending email during a few days of service disruption in September 2010.
Telstra told customers that the emails were being held on their server and would be distributed once the service was restored. According to Telstra, the problem impacted BigPond users across Australia.

Locked Accounts
During the service disruption, Telstra also locked out some BigPond users from their accounts. These users were not able to log in to their accounts.
According to the telecommunications company, they had to lock the email accounts in order to facilitate repair work.

Telstra Response
Telstra reacted to consumer concerns about these issues by providing regular updates about the status of the repairs.
One such Telstra status update, according to an iTnews report, said, "We are currently having problems with BigPond mail.
This is affecting customers nationally.
Customers may experience delays in receiving mail or accessing their accounts.
Technicians are treating this issue as a priority and are working on the problem."
Telstra stated that these problems came about as a result of a server outage.
According to user comments at TechWorld and iTnews, some users still did not see their problems resolved even after the company officially declared that it had taken care of the issue.
