Dropped service with ATT and want to try another carrier without another contract. What do I need to do? I have 2 of the same Samsung Galaxy notes (SGH-I717) and two LG Optimus (pg-30) that all have unprovisioned SIM cards (mm#2). They are all ATT phones that were on the same plan/contract and I don't want to renew under contract with ATT. What steps do I need to take? Unlock, root, replace SIM cards?
It is very simple. all you need to do is unlock your cell phones, get a go phone SIM card, insert it into your unlocked phone and start using without any contract. You can unlock your cell phones safer and easier using unlock code. You can get the accurate unlock code for your cell phone from TheUnlockSpot.com at affordable cost with an easy unlocking guide. Good luck.

WOW! what a process! I don't know how you kept track of all that but , good job! Try this. It's a maybe, but better than nothing,
TEMPORARY UNLOCK:
Put a non-accepted SIM Card and turn it on. Type *#9998*3323#. Press Exit. You will get a new menu. Select Malloc Fail.
In newer phones:
#*7337#

If you have entered the wrong unlock code too many times, your phone will lock up. Call AT&T for further directions.
