Dacor ECS230 Wall Oven Control Panel Time functions not working

When Daylight Savings time changed last week, I attempted to adjust the clock on my Dacor ECS230 Wall Oven. The touch pad keys for the time functions (except Stop Time) were unresponsive. Other than that the ovens function normally. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

The "clock" key pad on the settings display is dead. The clock is now 8 minutes off and I cannot reset it. When the power went out a month ago, we could reset the time from daylight savings, but now we can't correct the clock.

Maybe it takes breaking the circuit to get a response??? who knows?

I have a C01 stuck key failure on a Dacor MORS130 oven. I have replaced the membrane switch panel, and that did not solve the problem. I suspect the Oven control board. Is the most comon failure on this board the microcontroller? Is it possible to get a schematic anywhere?

Thank You Canada Two your solution worked for my clock problem also. We lost power and when it returned I could not reset the clock. Shut off power over night and when returning power the next morning, the clock controls worked as they should.

Try turning the power off at the breaker for 12 hours.

I had the same problem, tried turning the power off for a few minutes but that did not fix the problem.

Leaving the power off overnight seems to have fixed it.

Dacor ECS230 oven cannot set clock. Push clock button nada.

Any display at all? If not then hunt for one of these in the wiring connecting directly to the oven control. Then try to locate the fault such as bad fan etc.2295727.jpg

My upper oven/ convection function on my dacor ecs230b will not heat

Bake and convection bake settings both use the bottom bake element to heat. It would be unusual for bake to work without conv. bake working. You also have pure convection which uses a different element surrounding the conv. fan on the back of the unit. If you press a feature and nothing happens it's the touch pad. If it comes on then turns back off it's probably the ERC (clock). If it comes on and wont heat only in pure conv. possibly an upper relay board or element problem.

Dacor ecs230 clock button is not working

there may be a backup battery built in to this unit to keep the clock running in case the power goes out. depending on the age of the unit, it may need to be replaced. the battery size and number as well as it's location should be in the owner's manual.

Chef classic wall oven with digital clock change time?

Press the TIMER button (the leftmost one with a little bell icon) and the "cooking" button (the one next to it with a "hot saucepan" icon) briefly at the same time. Within four seconds start changing the time with the + or - buttons. When you have the correct time just leave it and it will leave time setting mode four seconds after the last button press.

Turn the knob to the left until a tone is heard and "time" appears in the display window. The previously set time will appear in the display window.

Continue turning the time knob in either direction until the correct time of day appears in the display window

Press the START button to begin clock operation

Dacor ECS230 Epicure Electric Double Oven

You probably tripped a safety thermostat in the back of each oven. If you turn off the breaker and find a way to pull the units out you could probably remove the rear panel and reset the thermostat by pushing in a button on the back of the open thermo. Some thermo's aren't resettable though so you'd have to buy a replacement.

We clean are double wall oven and I can,t reset the clock.

Hi williamk77,

Your post "reset the clock" may refer to three (3) clocks in your Dacor ECS230. The first is the "Setting the Time of Day" which could be performed by pressing on the "CLOCK" touchpad. The time of day will falsh. "AM" or "PM" will be displayed and "TIME" will flash in the display. Thereafter, press the touchpad "+" or "-" until the correct time of the day is displayed and release touchpad.

The second is the "Using the Minute Timer" which is better explained at the user's manual page 6. Below is a snapshot of that part of that page.09d8cbe.jpg

and the third is "Timed/Delayed Timed Cooking" likewise better explained at the user's manual (p.9). Should the manual be not readily available, it may be downloaded from here.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.

Thank you for using FixYa.

Bottom oven of dacor double oven

I found the lower circuit breaker had been tripped. That didn't fix the problem but upon further inspection whoever had worked on the unit years ago had dropped a screwdriver that had lodged between the oven wall and the rear casing and shorted out the lower heating element. I removed the screwdriver and oven works fine now. I don't think that will solve the cmmclow problem but maybee the curcuit breaker is tripped.
