Try with your door open. Also be sure that you can operate it by hand. If not, the motor can't move it either.
Facing the outside of the door, if the hinges are on the right, it's a right-hand door.

As long as you can hear it trying to engage the lock I would say that you need to adjust the strike plate in the door frame for a more precise fit' You can use your key to lock the door and see if you feel any rough spots when it is engaging the strike plate. One easy way to tell where it is hitting if you can't see it is to use a magic marker and mark the strike plate. Try to close the lock with the keypad after the ink has dried. If it is hitting the strike plate it should leave a mark in the ink so you know which way you need to adjust the plate.. You can either move the entire strike plate or you can use a rat tail or round file to make it fit. If you have a dremel tool they work well with a metal circular file bit.Hope this helps you. Thanks.

You are going to have to disconnect belt and try to turn pulleys on drive system to locate the excact location. It sounds like a belt tension or bearing problem to me.

Whirlpool dryer drum doesn't turn. Hear fan motor and gas ignition but drum doesn't move. Tried overide switch on door to verify the drum doesn't move. I am looking for the owner manual but I...

the belt broke, you can buy a kit with the belt, rollers and pulley, change out everything and you'll be good to go.next time send the model number.good luck.while you have the dryer apart, vac out all the dust and lint and if you have a shop vac put it on blow and blow the motor out and clean out the duct that the lint filter slides into, also if your vent line is a long run remove it from the back of the dryer and blow it out with a leaf blower if you have one.

Chevy colandro 2005, driver window doesn't go down and the lock doesn't lock.

If it is just on that side in a relatively new car with no damage check the following:
Fuses/Relays Motor Inside Door for Window/Door Lock
It could be a coincidence that both failed at once, they could be linked, or they could be jammed together. Remove the door panel and check for any damage, failures, etc. Actuate the locks and windows with the panel off to see if anything moves/fails to move as planned.

Electric window 1991 F150 ...351

If the lock is trying to move, like you hear it but nothing really happens, replace the door lock actuator. i believe the windows are on the same fuse. Try removing the interior door trim and tap on the window motor lightly with a small hammer while holding the switch. If the window moves, replace the motor. If not, check for power and ground at the connector. If you have power and ground (which switch when going up then down) then replace the motor. If you dont, repair the circuit.

Power door locks inop

Sounds like the motor's fried. Its notorious on these cars (I have one).
What ends up happening is the whole mechanism gets gummed up over time and makes the motor work harder just to actuate the "arms" that lock/unlock the door. Over time, eventually the motor burns out, or doesnt provide enough juice to move the arms any more.

The door lock assembly is pretty expensive from the dealer...if you can source a good used one, and lube any moving parts nicely, then it should last.

If you wanna tackle this yourself, here's a writeup showing how.

Good luck!

Heater works great but a/c wont blow.

If I understand your problem, your heat works, but no A/C. It sounds like the blend door motor is not moving the door to the cool position. This could be caused by a bad blend door motor, or a bad interior temperature sensor. Because you said you heard a banging noise, it sounds like the blend door is stuck. The interior temp sensor would make no noise.
