Fuji Finepix S1 Pro fE E blinking when turned on?

I received this "fE E" disply when turing on the camera? the camera seems to read the memory card and such but wont let me take a picture? any ideas.

  • moshi08043 Mar 10, 2008

I also have the same fE E problem with my s1 Pro. The only lens that works is a Nikon 28-80 G lens. The lens that won't work is a promaster 19-35. I have set the lens to Fstop 22 but nothing works. Another lens that doesn't work is a nikon 70-210 . again, fstop is on 32 and locked but the camera won't take the lens.

I've tried to take out all 3 battery types to try to reset the camera but nothing changed when I put the batteries back in.

    any help would be great.

Might Help:
Notes on G-type Nikkor and other CPU Nikkor lens
The G-type Nikkor lens has no aperture ring; aperture should be selected from camera body. Unlike other CPU Nikkor lenses, aperture does not need to be set to minimum (largest f-number). CPU Nikkor lenses other than G-type Nikkor lens have an aperture ring. Set the lens aperture to its minimum and lock. When the lens is not set to its minimum aperture setting and the power switch is turned on, "fEE" blinks in the control panel and viewfinder and the shutter cannot be released.

I am getting a FEE error on a Fuji FinePix S1 Pro Digital, the 300mm lens seems to be connected correctly. please help thank you.

I don't know if you have a manual fir this camera so I'm giving you a "Google" search link for a manual in PDF format. It the fourth one down.

http://www.google.ca/#hl=en&source=hp&biw=1303&bih=818&q=Fuji+S1+Pro+PDF+manual&aq=f&aqi=&aql=&oq=&fp=a5556ef3492e88b9

Okay, I've had several Fuji Pro cameras including the S5 Pro and these cameras had dual memory card slots it's listed in section 6 page 24 of this PDF manual

Okay what can happen and happened to me several times (didn't learn the first time) was that I had the camera set on the Compact Flash card and filled it up but the camera needs to be manual set for the next card it's not automatic. So I'm going to assume that the media card you are trying to write the new picture files to is full.

You can download the pictures and then format the car (in the camera) then continue or switch to the other card in the card slot. This camera used a Smart Media and a Compact Flash Card.

Memory card not working? ( fuji finepix Z20fd Digital Camera)

Hi there.

When you start using a memory card, you must format the card in the camera first...using the camera menu. If you don't the camera won't read the card properly. Try that and I bet it will work for you.

My fuji finpix s1 will not pull up the menu, nor can I take any pictures however the automatic focus works, the function lcd lights up but it will not work either.

rdp19 did not mention the ERR msg.
I had the same problem, however after messing with it the ERR message is up.
If RDP19 gets this, did you get it fixed.  Where and what cost?

Fuji FinePix S1 Pro Digital.

I strongly recommend you use a memory card reader to solve this problem.

The cause is likely a bad USB cable, USB port on the Camera, or low battery.

A USB memory card reader will work around any of those causes.

Err message

This problem is caused by the plastic memory card door.

There is a door that hides the memory card on the back of the camera.

The door has a small plastic part on the left side that when the door is closed fits inside the camera.

When the door is open this part is exposed. It is right next to the "^" in "^ PUSH TO EJECT"

If you place one drop of superglue on the top of this little plastic part of the door(when open) and let it dry overnight(LEAVING THE DOOR OPEN OVERNIGHT.)

This will slightly build the plastic up about .05-1mm.

The problem is caused by the plastic part being about 1mm too small, liking resulting from normal wear.

I have tested this, and it seems to have resolved my issue with the S1 Pro I bought on e-bay

EEE Error

3 reasons u get an "err" msg are

1. lens aperature not at smallest stop (f22 for example) turn aperture ring to smallest aperture setting or largest number

2. No memory card, or card not formatted or the magnetic latch of the memory card is sensitive try closing it firmly , or try changing memory card may it is damaged by force pullout.

3. weak batteries (4- AA and 2- CR123)try changing them.

4. Try changing or taking out lenses.

i hope something work out for u lemme know

Receiving thumbnails OK, but Mac freezes while receiving full-sized images (not thumbnails).

Check available memory as above. If your Mac is Power Mac 7500, 8500, 9500 and OS is system 7.5.2, you need a patch (serial DMA) or upgrade to the latest version of the OS. Also, we recommend you use the latest version of OS for all other Macs.
